" Jonathan its fine" clary's voice broken the tension between Jace and Jonathan. He turned around to look at her with concern all over his face.
" clary he can't do this to you".
" yes he can so just let it go" she told him.
With that Jonathan turned and stormed out the room with clary not to far behind him calling his name.
Jonathan reached his room and slammed the door behind him. Two seconds later clary came barging in. He turned around and looked at her. They stood there just looking at each other for what felt like forever but was only a few minutes. She sighed and walked towards him and gave him a hug. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight he never wanted to let her go. He pulled back a little, he looked her in the eyes and said " I love you".
She just looked at him, slowly a smile appeared on her face.
" I love you too". And when she said those four words he leaned down and kissed her. it wasn't just any kiss it was filled with love and devotion. Jonathan was about to deepen the kiss when Jace burst though the door with a smirk on his face.
" now I see why you don't want us to get married" he said towards Jonathan. With that jace turned on his heel to walk out the door when clary stopped him.
" jace please don't tell my father" she said while holding on to his wrist.
" And why not? if I tell him then we could get married and he will kill your crazy demonic brother" he stated.
" exactly he will kill Jonathan. you can't let that happen" she pleaded.
" why not?" he questioned.
" if you don't tell my father I will do one thing you ask me to do" she offered.
He thought about it then agreed not to tell. With that jace left the room. clary turned back around to Jonathan and she saw that he was worried about her.
" why would you do that" he questioned her.
" because if I didn't he would tell father and have you killed!" she said starting to get annoyed at the fact that her brother doesn't care about his life.
" I DON'T CARE" he yelled.
" BUT I DO" she yelled back.
" I can't lose you" she said more quietly this time.
" you won't" he said while he pulled her into a hug.
