Double Date with the Seven Deadly Sins Part 2

The Boar Hat was filled up to the roof people. The new tavern girls were bringing in PLENTY of customers. King sat on the far side of the bar, staring in Diane's direction. He took a big swallow of ale and began to daydream. Diane caught him staring and smiled. She gave him a wave which King kindly returned. Hauser walked towards Diane and began to chat with her, which caused King to groan. Meliodas walked up to King and patted him on the back. 

"Hey King. I wanted to say thanks for helping the townspeople lately with rebuilding the city. It's getting us more customers." he said with his normal enthusiastic smile. King put on the best fake smile that he could for the Captain. 

"Actually it's Diane who you should thank." he said while continuing to look over the Captain's shoulder and towards Diane. Meliodas turned around and matched up with his vision with where King was looking. 

"Oh. So you agree that making her a hot poster girl was best for business?" he asked King with a wink. King began to bleed from his nose.

"What?! No! I meant she's helping to rebuild the city!" he exclaimed shyly. Meliodas nodded.

"Sure you did King. Sure you did." he said while emphasizing the word "sure". 

"I mean it Captain." King said seriously. 

"So you don't think she looks good in her outfit?" Meliodas asked with a chuckle. King bled profusely from his nose. 

"Well I-I-I think she looks hot. I mean pretty. I mean beautiful in that outfit. I mean she's always looked good. I mean great. I mea-" 

"Jeez King calm down! If you like her so much, why don't you just marry her?" Meliodas interrupted. King froze and began to remember the wedding that he and Diane watched. He only vaguely remembered, but he did remember how amazing it was to see those two people being tied in the bonds of holy matrimony. 

"I-I can't do that Captain. Diane nor any other girl would EVER say yes." he said sadly. He gulped down the last of his ale and floated outside on Chastiefol. He sat down outside ad tried to remember what happened that day. He couldn't remember. He heard the front door creak open behind him. Diane stepped out. She looked more beautiful than ever. 

"Hey King can I share the steps with you?" she asked with asked with a sweet smile that King returned. He gave her a nod of approval. She sat down next to him and crossed her legs. 

"Whatcha doing out here King?" she asked with a concerned tone. King shrugged. 

"I don't know. Just thinking I guess. Who won that game of tag that we had by the way?" he asked curiously. Diane giggled.

"You did King. We were watching a wedding and I let you tag me." she explained. He felt the bandage on top of his head.

"What caused THIS?" he asked while pointing at the bandage. Her smile vanished. 

"We had to fight a demon Holy Knight that attacked the wedding from underground. We defeated him, but a block of cement fell off the roof and clocked you right in the head." she explained while motioning with her hands as she spoke. King froze and a rush of flashbacks hit him all of a sudden. He remembered that they had kissed!

"I remember! Oh my god! My memories are back!" King happily exclaimed. 

"Do you remember everything?" she asked with a smile. King nodded and leaned forward. Diane closed her eyes. 

"Hey can you two lovebirds excuse me?" they heard a voice say. They both stood up and saw Ban carrying an unconscious lavender-haired girl in his arms.
