Frieza entered the room where Winter's cries were coming from, rolling his eyes at the sight of Winter curled up on her bed. "Honestly, how PATHETIC." Frieza loomed over Winter with his arms behind his back, but Winter didn't dare look at him, she didn't even move. "A member of MY race, crying like an immature child? What kind of warrior are you to shed tears at the thought of carnage?" Winter stayed in the same position, but her expression changed to anger. How would he know what a true warrior is? She knew, her father was one, and Frieza just insulted the term. "I TRAINED YOU! I was the one who taught you about power and I thought you were a worthy warrior to show off." There was that word again, warrior. Frieza began pacing, his arms still behind his back. "But clearly with your reaction today I can now clearly tell that that decision was a mistake." Frieza stopped and glared at Winter, seeing that she had not moved. "SIT UP!" Winter quickly did so, she felt like a child being lectured by their father because she had done wrong. "Get those damn tears off of your face and listen to me!" Winter reluctantly wiped her tears away, but her eyes were still red, and she still felt cold. "Your training will be intensified, I swear I WILL make you into a soldier, no matter what. Right now you're a disgrace, and I WILL fix that." Winter sat in silence, trying not to look Frieza in the eyes. "We're going to another planet, so be prepared for me to call you, I will not accept you being late." Frieza left the room and Winter fell back onto her side, not crying, but thinking. She couldn't imagine what Frieza was planning, but it couldn't be good.
*******
"WINTER!" Frieza called for Winter loudly, so loud Winter was sure the entire ship could hear it. She sat up and dashed towards him, not wanting to be punished for hesitating. She saw Frieza standing in his main room, looking out at a planet you could see from the window. He turned towards her and smirked. "I have something to show you, come here." Winter hesitantly walked near him, not sure what he was planning. "Zarbon, lower the ship roof, we need a good view." Winter looked at him, extremely confused as a part of the roof of the ship came down, and Frieza stepped onto it. He ushered for her to follow, and as soon as she stepped onto the platform the roof was raised back up, and they were standing on top of the ship. Winter grabbed her throat, thinking that she couldn't breathe, but she quickly noticed that nothing was wrong and let go. Frieza glanced over at her, rolling his eyes at her not knowing. "Our race can breathe in the void of space, it's quite useful." He looked back out at space and pointed to the planet nearby. "You see that planet?" Winter nodded yes. "It is USELESS." Winter got a chill down her spine at Frieza's yell. "The planet is a wasteland, the few people that exist on it are pathetically weak, they're nearly dead already, so..." Frieza lifted his finger and a small orange glowing orb appeared, hovering just above it. "This will be the perfect opportunity to show you what you need to be." Winter gasped, looking at him in shock.
"What are you doing?!" Frieza chuckled,
"what do you think?!" The orb got bigger, and he smirked, looking at Winter. The orb had reached a huge size, almost the size of the planet, and he moved his hand to throw it. For Winter, time slowed down, adrenaline rushed through her and she did something without a thought.
"WAIT!!!!" She tackled Frieza, causing him to fall and throwing off the direction of the orb. Instead of the hitting planet, it missed and exploded nearby, hitting nothing. Frieza pushed Winter off of him, standing up with an expression of pure anger on his face.
"HOW DARE YOU!!! DO YOU WANT TO BE DESTROYED?!" Winter was still knocked down on her hands and knees, and she looked up at Frieza as he yelled. "I don't know what you thought stopping my supernova would get you, but I guarantee you that-" Frieza stopped himself and sighed. He picked Winter up off of the ground, "do that again and I kill you." Winter turned her head, why did he stop yelling? He couldn't have felt bad, no, it was something else. She was left to her thoughts as Frieza charged up the supernova again, looking back at Winter. "Now, if there are no further interruptions, let us start the display." Winter watched as Frieza moved his finger downwards, shooting off the large supernova into space, and soon hitting the planet. There was a thunderous sound as it hit, and a display of orange and red lights filled the darkness of space. Winter's eyes widened with shock as the supernova dug further into the planet, causing even more sounds and a visual of the planet crumbling. She looked over to Frieza, only to see him smiling, seemingly filled with joy as he began to laugh. He turned to her and spoke, "isn't it such a wonderful view, Winter? What glorious fireworks this planet has created!" Winter took a step away from him, she couldn't believe something as beautiful as fireworks was made into an image this horrifying. Frieza continued to laugh, and Winter was terrified at the look of pure joy on his face as the planet crumbled, soon causing a large explosion as the supernova hit the core. Finally, the planet was gone, and everything had gone silent. Space darkened once more as the light from the explosion faded, and Frieza had regained his composure and stopped laughing. Winter couldn't believe how quickly he could go from being truly sadistic, to just being calm and composed, it sent chills down her spine. Frieza looked at her, causing her to practically go cold. He smirked as he spoke, "Now Winter, wasn't that glorious?" Winter clenched her fists, she couldn't stand hearing him say things like that.
"Glorious?! Is that what you call glorious?! Destroying life? An entire planet?!" Frieza narrowed his eyes,
"you're still soft. What did your planet do to you? A member of my race like you is supposed to be ruthless and merciless, but you...You are the opposite."
"I'm not like you! I don't want to be like you! You're heartless! How could you just destroy a planet without a second thought like that?!"
"Because i've learned what it means to be a ruler, and you're going to have to be a ruler's soldier!"
"A soldier that just runs in and KILLS innocent people?! That just watches others die and laughs?!" Frieza got closer to Winter, his fists clenched so hard it could draw blood.
"Do you dare doubt my methods?! I am beginning to grow tired of your insolence!"  Winter went quiet, continuing the argument was useless, she would just end up dead. Frieza let out a large breath, unclenching his fists and instead slamming his foot on the roof of the ship, sending a signal to lower it. The roof lowered and the two stepped off, and it raised again. Frieza went back to looking out of the window, seeing the remains of the planet floating through space. Winter looked back at the door, seeing Zarbon standing there, completely unfazed by the explosion of the planet. She looked back at Frieza and reluctantly spoke.
"Do you...Need me any longer?" Frieza didn't turn around to respond.
"No. Go on your way, but don't be surprised if I call you for something later." Winter shivered at the thought of what he could mean by something, but she quickly left the room, sighing as she tried not to remember anything that had just happened, but she was still scared of the future....
