Sadly, Yes! (A Steven Universe fanfic)

Hi guys, sorry the update took forever. I was feeling a bit discouraged. But I'm feeling better, even if no one cares... so shut up. JK, STORY TIME!

It was a cold, stormy day in Beach City, with our heroes doing what they do best; exploring.

"Why are we exploring the town again?" Jim asked impatiently.

"Because, we need to gather information, Isaac answered. "And Henry won't shut up if we don't ride the roller coaster in the storm."

"Just another awesome experiment," Henry said excitedly.

Suddenly, Isaac stopped dead in his tracks, and whispered, "We're being followed." They turned around, weapons at the ready. What they saw isn't exactly what they expected. It was a strange, green and black centipede like thing, spitting acid everywhere.

"Man, that's disgu-" Henry started, until he heard an "Oof," and when he looked down, he saw Isaac lying face first on the boardwalk.

When Isaac got up, he saw Jim cuddling the weird creature. "He's ADORABLE!!!" he exclaimed, looking back at his comrades. "Can we keep him? Pleeeeaase?"

Isaac looked at Henry and shrugged. Looking back at Jim, he answered, "Sure, as long as YOU take care of him."

"Yay!" he cheered, and they continued on their way to the roller coaster.

"Why, hello!" said a man with a huge grin on his face, wearing a tag that said "Mr. Smiley" on it. I've never seen you folks before. You new in town?"

"Yes, we are," Henry said. "We heard some good things about Beach City, and we thought we'd give it a try."

"Well, that's great!" he replied. "Would you like to try one of the rides?"

"Yeah, the roller coaster, please."

"Alrighty! Follow me, please."

                                                                                                  A Few Minutes Later...

Our heroes got off the ride, clothes soaking wet, smiles on their faces. "That... was... AWESOME!" exclaimed Henry. "What should we do now?"

"Probably something relevant to the plot of the story," Isaac answered. They began to think hard. That was when Jim got an idea.

"Hey, don't bite!" he said. They gave him a strange look, and he said, "Sorry, I was talking to Cuddles. Anyway, aren't the Crystal Gems magic?"

"Yeah, why?" Isaac asked.

"They may have something that can send us home, that way we don't have to wait for Henry to do it!"

"Wow!" Henry said, astonished. "You actually have a good idea for once."

"I know, ri-" he stopped, realizing what Henry said. "Hey!"

"Well, then," Isaac interrupted. "Let's start planning." And with that, they began to walk back to the cave, waiting until nightfall before they put their plan into action.

                                                                                       A Few Hours Later... :P

All through Beach City, every resident was lying in their beds. But for our heroes. They were doing some... late-night eeriness. They shot across the beach with their hover boards, so not to make a sound that would shatter the calm silence.

Once they reached the steps, they slowly climbed up to the porch. "Alright, gang," Isaac whispered. "The key hear is to be extra sneaky. Observe." He opened the window and began to crawl inside, and he stepped on a squeaky toy. He stopped, and after making sure nobody woke up, continued.

As soon as he was inside, he turned to see Henry and Jim behind him. "How did you get in so fast?" he asked.

"Well, if you were paying attention," Henry answered, "you'd know that the front door was unlocked."

"I was just trying to think outside the box..."

"Guys, shut up!" Jim interrupted. "Cuddles is taking a nap!"

Going silent once more, they began to look around. Jim went to the kitchen, Henry to the temple entrance, and Isaac, finding Steven not in his bed, searched his room. Neither of them found anything, so they decided to look on the outside. Looking up, they saw something on the hand of the temple so they climbed.

Unfortunately, all they found was a washer and dryer. Sighing, the sat down, thinking of what they should do next. That's when Henry said, "Isaac, if you have a gem, doesn't that mean you can open the temple?"

"It's a long shot," Isaac answered, "but we can try."

"Well, hurry up," Jim suddenly said. "I want to take a nap already." Ignoring him, they went back in the house and to the entrance. "Okay," Isaac began. "How do I do this?"

"Like you summoned your weapon," Henry answered. "Fill yourself with determination."

"Undertale it, way ahead of you," he responded, and began saying encouraging words to himself. Unknowingly to him, his gem began to glow, and appeared also on the door. It then opened into a room, a room full of trees, and a huge treehouse right in the middle.

"Holy..." Jim started, but even he had nothing to say about it. They all stepped inside, and the door closed behind them. The first place they went to was the treehouse. They climbed the later, and found the whole thing empty.

"I guess we have to fill it up ourselves," Isaac said.

"Cool," said Jim. "Self-decorating. I'm gonna hang up my Zootopia poster." They continued to look around, but they couldn't find anything. They decided to come back and explore the rest of the place later. Unfortunately, as soon as they opened the door, the warp pad activated.

Our heroes quickly hid behind something and listened. "Finally, I can get some sleep," said Steven. "Goodnight, everyone."

"Goodnight, Steven," they all said in unison. Everyone then went to their rooms, and Skeat and the gang had to hold back a sigh of relief. They hadn't noticed the gem on the door, yet. After waiting a few minutes to make sure the boy was asleep, they began tip-toeing to the door. 

Just a few steps from the door, they suddenly heard a loud voice. "TOP OF THE MORNIN' TO YA'!!!" Jasemine suddenly yelled in greeting. They stopped dead in their tracks. The door to the temple opened, and Steven jumped from his bed.

"You again!" Pearl said angrily.

"Welp," Henry said. "I guess Jim still has never made a good plan." Before Jim could object, Isaac grabbed both of them and booked it. They hopped on their hover boards, and went full speed. The Crystal Gems tried to catch up, but this time they were too fast for them.

Once the Crew reached the cave, they ran in and began to work out a new plan.
