"Hey Ty!" Leo called out to me. I was practicing my sword fighting skills in the arena, not that I needed to. I just did it to keep my mind of things.

I looked up, "Hey." I smiled at him as I walked over to put my sword away. I didn't carry my own sword, just my twin daggers.

"Jason, Pipes and a couple others are gonna have lunch on the beach, wanna come?" Leo asked jumping over the fence that surrounded the arena.

I turned my back to him pretending to fiddle with the swords, I was trying to hide my blush.

"Yeah sure, I'll come." I replied, turning around to face him.

"Awesome sauce, meet us there in 10?" Leo wouldn't make eye contact with me. I kinda assumed that was because last time we talked the Aphrodite cabin, well... it involved fish, a knife and a heck of a lot of make-up.

"Okay, see you in a bit." I smiled remembering the fish incident.

"Or I could just wait for you and we could, um, walk over there together..." His sentence trailed off. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and stared at the ground. Gods, he was acting weird.

"Um, sure. I was just going to get some water-" I started, but Leo begun searching through his tool belt. He pulled out a water bottle.

"Heads up." He said, tossing the bottle to me. I caught it but it slipped out of my hands and I had to jump to catch it again.

"Nice catch!" He laughed, shoving my shoulder.

I rolled my eyes, "Oh, shut up Valdez."

He just laughed again so I gave him my best I'm-a-daughter-of-Athena-and-I-could-execute-your-murder-faster-then-you-could-call-for-help glare. That shut him up real fast.

I grinned and started walking towards the beach, "You coming?" I called back over my shoulder.

After lunch we went back to classes, I had pegasus riding. Our regular teacher was up in Olympus for a meeting so Percy had stepped in as a sub.

"Alright, so today we're going to work on riding with a partner. Once you've picked a partner, come over to me and I'll show you how to secure a 2 person saddle." Percy was a good teacher and this wasn't the first time he has had to teach pegasus riding.

Leo walked up to me and casually put his arm around my shoulders, "Want to be partners?" He asked.

I shurgged his arm away trying to ignore the tingling sensation in my stomach, "Sure, but I have my doubts about your riding ability."

Leo shot me a faux glare, "Ha. ha. ha. Your sense of humor astounds me."

I laughed, grabbing his arm and pulling him towards the pegasi.

When Percy saw us he grinned, "Hey, you two."

"Shut up, Percy." Leo grumbled. I raised my eyebrows, looking back and forth at the two of them. Percy was giving me this 'I know something that you don't' type of look and Leo was giving Percy this 'Don't you dare say a word' look. It was very weird. Like weirder then watching a unicorn made of bacon pay taxes.

"Alrighty, why don't just grab a pegasus and get going." I said, in a failed atempt to "lighten" the mood.

Once Leo and I were up in the air he seemed to relax a bit.

"What was that all about?" I asked him.

"Oh, it was nothing." He mumbled.

"Nothing, huh? I'd say." I whispered under my breath.

"Just forget it." Leo voice...it sounded odd. Like he was angry, no, frustrated. Ugh, why do I even try to figure him out?

"Fine." I replied.

As the air curled it's fingers around my hair and whipped around my face I should've been focusing on steering the pegasi, but no, I couldn't keep my mind off of the feeling of Leo's arms around me. I mean, it's not like he was hugging me or something but he had to hold on to me. It's just- nevermind. You don't understand. And I'm not exactly making sense.

After class I headed off into the woods to get some time alone, you don't get much of that when you're at Camp. Walking helped me organize my thoughts. I tried to keep my thoughts away from Leo but that didn't work out so well. Does he like me? Sometimes he's my friend and other times it's like I don't even exist. Then I heard something rustle in the leaeves behind me. Drawing my daggers from my belt, I turned around.

"Woah, don't kill me!" Leo chuckled, putting his hands up in the air in faux surrender. The tip of my dagger just barely touched the base of his neck. I stared at him and his smile faded.

"Ty?" He asked, "Tyler?"

"Don't sneak up on me like that. Ever."

"Ok, ok, calm down."

I lowered my weapon, "Why were you following me?"

"Um, yeah, about that..." He looked at the ground. "Nevermind."

"Alright then, don't tell me." I said.

I continued on my walk and Leo walked beside me. He looked at me every other minute or so. Gods, I had to do everything in my power to not blush.

"Hey, Tyler?" He asked after a while.

"What's up?" I replied glancing over at him.

He stopped walking so I did the same. He was silent, I raised an eyebrow at him.

"I was wondering if, uh, maybe you might want to go to the fireworks with me?" He looked up at me.

I stared at him. Did Leo Valdez just ask me out to the fireworks? Not possible, the fireworks are like the most romantic event at Camp Half-Blood. Oh my gods.

"-this never happened?" I had just realized that  Leo was talking to me.

"What?" I asked.

"Can you just pretend like I never said anything?" He mumbled.

"Why would I do that?"

"Uh, because you said no.

 "No I didn't!" I exclaimed.

Leo just stared at me, dumbfounded.

I started to fiddle with the ring on my right middle finger, some people tell me to quit fidgeting but old habits die hard. "Yes," I'm pretty sure it was easy to tell that I was nervous.

"Really?!" Leo exclaimed, his eyes wide.

"Um, yeah, obviously." I smiled a little.

"What do you mean obviously?" He asked, titling his head to the side like a confused puppy.

"Nothing, nevermind." I said, shaking my head. We stood in silence until Leo spoke up.

"Do you mind if I join you on the rest of your walk?" He asked, looking me in the eyes.

"It would be a pleasure."  I smiled, half jokingly.

As we walked together Leo reached out and entwined our hands. I'm not really into all that mushy gushy stuff, but I must admit that this moment made my week and would come to make my life.
