chapter 7

Elijah's POV

"You're my brother"

Shock came over me. I had a family. Was our parents still alive. wait, why wasn't I raised with her....

"Why wasn't I with you and our family growing up...?", I asked.

"Well Elijah,  it's a long story, and I just found out myself that you're my brother."

"How long ago did you find out."

"When we left the field, I went to our mother and told her that I found someone. She then asked who it was and I told her your name. She sat me down and told me how I have a twin."

I felt anger, sadness, and betrayal off of her. That made me feel the same way.

"So why wasn't I with you.", I asked.

She looked at me and stared into my eyes.

"Okay well...."

Nikki's POV

Once I finished telling Elijah what mum told us I watched him to see his reaction. I saw anger, betrayal, and many things combined.

"Elijah?", I whispered.

"I'm not mad at you. I'm so sorry that I did that to you. I didn't know I was evil towards anyone. I'm a really good person now as you can see I haven't hurt you."

"I know but do you want to meet our mother?", I asked.

"Yes, I would like that. Where is our father?"

I sat there, feeling no emotion. I couldn't tell him, but I had too, it's not fair for him not to know. It kills me to talk about it. I felt tears roll down my face and I quickly wiped them away.

"H-hes gone right?", he asked.

I nodded my head.

"you don't have to explain, I'll just ask mom."

He grabbed my waist and pulled me on top of his lap and cradled me. He rubbed my back while I cried.

Once I was done I got up and he took my hand and walked us down stairs and out the door.

We walked until we got to the boarder. took a while but I didn't feel like turning into my wolf yet.

"Okay, you ready?", I asked.

"Lets do this", he said with a grin.

We shifted and I ran towards my house. I started to jog and then walk towards my back door. I stopped and mind linked Elijah.

'Okay well lets go but mum doesn't know that I brought you here, So expect the unexpected.'

'Gotcha'

We shifted back to our human form and I took his hand in mine and walked up to the back door and opened it.

"Mum?",I yelled.

"Yes dear what is i-", she started to say as she walked into the room but then saw Elijah.

She stood there with fear in her eyes. Elijah let go of my hand and walked towards her and hugged her. She hugged back instantly and started crying.

"Elijah, I'm so sor-"

"No, please don't apologize. you were only trying to protect the both of us. I Love you mom.", he said.

"I love you too baby."

"Well why don't you guys catch up on things while I go take a shower?", I said.

"Okay"

"Sure thing sis."

I smiled and went up stairs. I'm glad that Elijah was not trying to hurt our mum, she was only just trying to protect us both.

I walked into my room and turned on the shower. I did what I needed to do and got out. I got dressed and heard a loud crashing sound and some yelling.

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALL THESE FUCKING YEARS?! AND YOU THINK I SHOULD JUST FORGIVE AND FORGET!?! NO WAY NOW ITS TIME FOR REVENGE!"

what the hell?

I ran down stairs and saw Elijah on top of mum and was choking her. she was fighting back but was losing.

Before I knew it I shifted and ripped Elijah off mum. I carried him outside and put him on the ground and stood in a fighting position.

He shifted and tried to run pass me but failed. I knocked him over and he smashed into a tree breaking it. He got up and growled and stalked towards me.

'What the hell are you doing Elijah?!'

"What I should have done the second I saw her. She doesn't deserve to live! She gave me away! Do You know what I have been through!?! For over 11 years I was held in a chamber. for 11 years i was starved with little to eat. for 11 years I was freezing. for 11 years I had nothing to live for."

'She is our mother! You may be mad right now but you said it yourself, she was protecting us! She wanted us to be together but you're dangerous towards me!'

"I don't care. I won't hurt you, I just want what you call your mother. She will never be my mom."

'Elijah...'

"No just get Out of my way or else."

'Or else what!? you said you're not going to hurt me! now you're gonna lie to me!?'

"I said I wouldn't hurt you. I meant like kill you, but if I have to injure you to get to your mother, then That is what I shall do."

'No. I won't let you. I've lost one parent already I don't need to loose another!'

"Oh yeah? well lets see I lost everything. I think you'll survive."

'Listen to me Elijah, you're going to regret this. She wants you bac-'

"No, I'm tired of this bullshit. if she wanted me then she would have came for me 11 years ago Nick, and she didn't. But you came for me as soon as you knew about me. That is family. She isn't."

'Elijah look at what you're sayin-'

"Just shut the hell up NICK! YOU ARE NOT CHANGING MY MIND."

'You're not my brother.....'

He stopped and stared at me with disbelief in his eyes. He shifted back and started to walk towards me but I growled at him, showing teeth.

"Nick, I'm sorry....I couldn't control hi-"

"No don't give me that bullshit. I Nikki Wells, soon to be Aplah of the Blue Lake clan banish you from returning to our land."

"You can't do that! I'm your brother! This is my clan as well as it is yours!!"

"No, you stopped being part of us When you were gone. You'll never be one of us. Now go."

"You're going to regret that." he shifted and ran back to where he belongs. I ran inside and saw my mother sitting on the floor.

"Mum? "

She looked at me. When did she look so old? she looked like she was 50 years older now. what the hell?

"Hunny I have to tell you something."

"Tell me please" I said while grabbing her hand and rubbing it. I hope its not bad news, I couldn't handle it.

she got up and walked to the couch pulling me with her. She looked me straight in the eyes and said....

"I'm dying."
