Chapter 8

Nikki's POV

"I'm dying..."

I stood there shocked. Tears ran down my face, I couldn't move.

What? Why was she dying? No...She can't die, not now.

I slowly walked over to her, and helped her up. I looked into her eyes, and saw sadness.

"Mum...w-why are you dying...?", I asked.

"Baby, I've been without your father for to long. I've grown weak, everyday day that goes by I lose hope, I become weak. I can't fight this pain that goes through me. I'm sorry.", she said. Tears fell from her face as she started loosing her balance.

I grabbed her, and carried her bridal style to the couch, and laid her down. I went on my knees, and held her hand.

"How long do you think you have?", I asked.

"Hun, I only have tonight. This moment to be with someone who I truly love with all my heart. My beautiful baby girl. I love you."

"Mum please fight...please! I need you! I can't be alone! I can't be alone anymore....", I cried to her.

"I love you, my beautiful Nikki. I'll be watching over you, I know that Justin will take good care of you.", she whispered.

Her voice is getting lower and weaker... I'm losing her.

"Mum I can't be Luna now... I'm not ready."

"You are though darling. You're brave, smart, and I know you can do anything you set your mind to."

Tears went down my face as I squeezed her hand tighter. She wiped them away with her weak hand, and I held her hand in place on my cheek.

"I love you mum."

"And I love you..."

Her hand started slipping from my cheek, as she drew her last breathe. Her eyes closed, and her beating heart came to a stop.

'J-justin...'

'Nikki?! what's wrong? ! Why are you up set!? where are you?!', Justin yelled through the mind link.

'I'm at my house....I need you.'

'I'll be there in five minutes! Stay were you are.'

'Okay'

I looked at my mum, and stroked her cheek. Why...? Anger boiled up inside me. The moon goddess wanted her now. She took my mum away when I needed her the most.

I got up, and flipped the table behind me. I threw everything I could find. I threw glass, plates, pillows, anything. When I got tired I fell to the floor, and cried.

I heard the door slam open, and running come to where I was.

"NIKKI!!! ARE YOU OKAY!?", Justin yelled, while picking me up.

I didn't say anything, I just sobbed and cried harder.

Justins POV

'J-justin. ......'

'Nikki?! what's wrong? ! Why are you up set!? where are you?!', I yelled through the mind link.

'I'm at my house....I need you.'

'I'll be there in five minutes! Stay were you are.'

'Okay'

I was on my way to her house already. I ran as fast as I could. She needed me, and I didn't know why. sadness came over me, and it felt like she was mourning.

That got me to run even more faster. when I got to her house I slammed open the door and tracked her sent which led to the livingroom.

There she was, my baby angel crying on the floor. I ran to her and picked her up.

"NIKKI!? ARE YOU OKAY?!"

She didn't say anything. I was scared. I carried her to the other couch and looked over and saw Nicks mom on the couch... without a heart beat....

My mind went blank...what do I do? I decided to mind link my pack.

'Everyone, the Luna of the Blue Lake Clan is gone. Please get everyone from this clan to go to the meadow outside waterfall. NOW.'

I looked at Nick, who was still crying. I held her closer, and rubbed circles on her back.

"Everything's going to be okay baby. I promise. I'm here.... I'm here.", I whispered into her ear.

NIKKI'S POV

'J-jake... please come to my house... I need some help.'
