You never realized how harshly you were crumbling me.
I was like your 10th grade english paper.
You wrote me over. And over. And over again.
You placed your biggest lies onto me.
I should've know.
It was all fake.
Because .. I was your 10th grade english paper.
There was no truth to your story.
I was fiction.
There is no fact, in fiction.
Each time you wrote me over,
You took me.
You placed me in the palms of your hands.
You only took a glance at me.
The truth is you didn't care about the worthless paper you can so easily replace
You took me in with your fingertips,
Crumbling me
Folding me
Until i was wrinkled and old.
You tried to write the same story onto me
Only you wrote it over so many times
It wasn't what it was anymore
You changed me.
I was afraid of change.
Change was the erase marks.
Knowing how hard you ruffed me,
They were never leaving me
they stuck to me like scars.
But those were just mistakes
Until i felt me in your fingertips again
Knowing i wasn't being held to love.
You wrote so many mistakes until you turned me into one.
And you wrote me over and over
Until you just wrote a new story.
I was your original idea.
The one you never fully loved
The one you fucked up
The one you messed up
The one you torn into pieces
The one you wanted but never realized
The one you tossed away
Barley taking a glance
I was just your trash
Only to be another one's treasure
I was like your 10th grade english paper.
The one you never turned in
The one you didn't half ass
But you did to the one you thought you could love.
You loved her more than you loved me
You wrote truth all over her.
You loved me
She was just background.
