Jake's POV

I jumped into the front seat of Luna's car as we left Mason and Kyla in the Nurse's Office. Luna slid into the driver's seat and instantly buckled her seatbelt. That was one of the things I loved about her. Her Awareness. Her ability to notice something is wrong and try to fix it instantly whilst being cautious. Like her putting on her seatbelt instantly is showing that she thinks someone is going to come and take me away from her, she was scared at the thought of loosing me.

She told me.

I couldn't leave her if I tried. She has me wrapped around her little finger. I love her too much. I love the way she crinkles her nose when she laughs. I love how her eyes light up when someone talks about something she likes. I love the way her hair falls perfectly without her trying. I love how gullible she can be. I love her. I love every single thing about her. She doesn't even know what she does to me.

I told her.

But even if I told her that every minute of every day, she will still not be at ease. But I don't mind because as long as she does that, I know that she still cares about me. And I will always care about her. She could break my heart into millions of pieces and tape it together again and I would still care about her. No matter what. I mean even before I found out she was my soulmate, I had a massive crush on her since the 6th Grade. Everyone knew. Everyone except Luna. It was horrible having to go everyday knowing I would never get her.

Then everything changed.

That one day was the best day of my life.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

We were in Freshmen year. It was third period and I was daydreaming about Luna. How the suns kissed every single corner of her face. How she looked like an angel. She was wearing acid washed jeans and a dark blue sweater. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with little stands framing her face. She went up to the front of the class to get a textbook from one of the high shelves. She reached up and as she reached up, her sweater had risen up slightly revealing her right hipbone. And that's when I saw it. Her soulmate mark. My soulmate mark. A heart with a lightening bolt going through it. She didn't even notice that her sweater had risen. I quickly jumped out go my seat and reached past Luna and grabbed the textbook she needed. She quickly turned around and soon we were chest to chest. There was no space between us. If I just dipped my head a little bit I could've kissed her right there and then. But I didn't. She didn't know yet.

"What are you doing?" She whispered breathlessly. I smirked at the effect I had on her.

"What? Can't I help my soulmate?" I asked innocently. Her gorgeous brown eyes widened. She looked up at me opening her mouth to say something but no words were coming out.

"How?" She blurted out. By now the whole class were watching us in anticipation. I smiled at her as I took a step back. I slowly pulled my shirt up revealing my soulmate mark. She gasped then looked up at me with a massive grin. She then launched her self at me and I caught her and brought her into a massive hug. I nuzzled my face into her neck, breathing her scent in. The scent that drove me crazy. As we pulled away I heard one voice speak that I never wanted to hear. Laura.

"OMG! Jakey- Baby what are you doing with that bitch?" Laura screeched. I simply rolled my eyes and pulled Luna closer to my side.

"I am hanging out with my soulmate, you got a problem with that?" I smirked as she literally turned red. But before she could say anything, I grabbed Luna's hand and dragged her out the classroom. As we were running away the only thing we could hear was Laura's meltdown in the distance. And needless to say we ditched the rest of school and got to know each other.
