A Good morning

It was one of those slow mornings the kind when everyone lingers in bed and when you look out the window the sky is a warm grey. I found myself staring out the kitchen window just watching the clouds roll. I was so caught up in the moment I didn't notice the arms wrapped around me until they pulled me into the soft warmth of a green hoodie. I turned around holding my hot chocolate in one hand and grasped the hoodie with the other. Good morning. We said in unison. Jinx! You owe me a soda! His face turned pouty looking down at me his bed head falling in odd patterns. I giggled squirming free of his arms that reluctantly released me. Strutting over to the stove I flicked on the oven light peering through the window. Taking my last gulp of hot cocoa I swung the door open and removed the upside down muffin tin. Bacon bowls are ready! Edd grabbed another cola and set them on the table rushing over to help. I lay out five plates and gave each one two bowls while Edd filled them with egg, sausage, and bits of pancake. We put three in the refrigerator and took the other two to the table. Sitting down Edd scooted his seat up to mine and tried to shove an entire bowl in his mouth. I laughed almost choking on cola. I started to eat when I was finally able to compose myself. Somehow he did manage to eat it that way though half the egg landed in the other bowl. I kissed his cheek when we finished and checked the clock grabbing my bag. Just as I went to head out the door Edd grabbed my hand and pulled me back down so that I fell into his lap however he made a slight mistake and I wound up falling in front of him landing hard on the floor and pulling him out of the chair with me. I started laughing again despite my sore backside rolling over and facing him. He mumbled I was trying to be romantic. And looked down dramatically trying to muffle his own hysterics in his sleeve. Finally I got up well I seriously have to leave now or I'm gonna be late what say we try again when I get home? He looked up snickered and nodded. With one last kiss for the road I ran out the door wondering what kind of plans he might come up with. Knowing him he would do something simple and sweet and knowing me I would fall for him even harder because of it.
