"You can't do that," the dog-man growled, "You're stuck with us, whether you like it or not."
Skya unsheathed her wings, "I'm gonna go with or not." She slowly and menacingly approached the leader, ready to fight. Conas quickly turned into a Komodo dragon and slithered along side her.
Skya jumped on the dog, trying not to cut him in half, but also trying to get past him. Soon, every single spy was trying to grab them, and Skya's only hope was to turn into bird form so she could maneuver around them, "Conas!" she yelled, pushing through the crowd of legs around her, "Turn into a gecko!"
"What!?" he yelled at her, behind the tsunami of giant spies trying to grab them, "Uh, OK!"
Skya followed the sound of his voice, towards a clearing. Spies were closing in on the little gecko-Conas. Skya raced towards Conas, flapped her wings, and scooped him up in her Talons as she flew away to safety.
They flew higher and higher until they were a good distance away from the rain forest, the ground slowly morphed back into boring fields of grass. Skya missed the jungle dearly, but she'd come back when she was finished with Valcon.
They were both still in their animal forms, as Conas climbed up her leg and onto her back. She didn't mind that, it was like he was riding her in a way. Skya decided to turn into human form to fly, but Conas didn't. He was probably so tired, so he just fell asleep in her hair without another word. Weird, Skya thought, He must like my hair...
They only flew for about an hour before the faint silhouette of the dreaded C.A.F.S came into view. Skya was exhausted, she could barely fly anymore, so she landed as they got close enough to it. It loomed over them, and She remembered all of those things she was forced to do as they slowly came closer to it.
Conas woke up and turned into his human form. They both crept around the huge building, finding their way to the giant door that was surrounded by guards. They dove behind the nearest hill so they wouldn't be spotted. They needed a plan to get into the C.A.F.S...
Maybe a distraction would work....Skya grabbed a nearby pebble and threw it over to the guards. They didn't notice it until it hit the ground with a thump.
"Did you see that?" one of them whispered to another, "This way." He pointed to the corner of the building, and soon they were making their way over there, running after the culprits, who were currently hiding behind their hill.
Skya gestured towards the door, and they quickly sped to open it. Conas pulled hard enough on the handle, and it swung open, revealing the familiarly empty hallways.
They sneaked inside, closing the door as they entered. Conas stopped and said, "Maybe we should split up...I think it would be less suspicious if we were apart."
"Good idea," she replied, and they both took a different hallway.
She explored the empty building for a while, but as she turned a particular corridor, she heard a voice much like her own, the voice murmured, "Finally, we've captured Silvern, and I can show master Valcon how evil I am."
Skya shuddered. This was her voice. What was happening? No doubt that was Skya, but...that wasn't her.
She lunged around the corner again to hide herself from...herself. It was a weird thought to think about, but Skya new that her mysterious doppelganger was indeed not her.
The other Skya turned around the corner, but she didn't give notice to the crate that Skya was hiding behind. The other Skya just shrugged and walked on, mumbling to herself.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?! It all came to her at once. Valcon must have sent her on the "special mission" for a reason, and maybe this was it. To clone her, and to get rid of her, at least, until she came back. She shuttered, she didn't want to know what he would've made the other Skya do to her once she arrived again, so she was glad that she didn't trust him.
He lied to her...maybe she didn't belong in the C.A.F.S after all. Maybe she was never as bad as he wanted her to be, and she realized that maybe that's not a bad thing...
Just then, the other Skya walked down the hallway in the opposite direction with an evil sneer on her face. Skya knew she did something terrible, but what?
Wait-She said something about how they Captured Silvern. She remembered all the horrible things that the C.A.F.S did to Ice Cat and her friends, and how she knew that she could never erase all of the things that she did as well, but Silvern deserved another chance from her, and that's what she was going to give her.
Another chance...
