Chapter 2-

I was walking back home when I felt that something was terribly wrong. I couldn't put a finger on it, but it was bothering me.  I thought of investigating the case, but instead I let it go. I didn't want to give myself a headache for thinking too hard.

When I got home, Mish-Mish was by the door groaning and barking. I ignored him as well, for some reason i was ignoring everything. I usually don't, especially not Mish Mish, but maybe that's why I feel so weird.  He followed me through the front door and into the house. He just kept barking. I looked at him in a query way. The barking was getting on my nerves since it was constant. Couldn't ignore him anymore, I thought.

"What's wrong, buddy?" I asked tiredly. He just stared at me then pushed my leg toward the hallway near his food. I followed Mish boringly.  When we finally reached his food bowl I instantly realized what I've been missing.  I slapped my forehead.

"I can't believe I forgot to put out your food, Mish-Mish! I'm such a careless wreck! Whew." I said wiping my forehead with relief. I'm glad I figured out what was bothering me so much. That must've been it! I look at Mish-Mish, he was so hungry! The way he's eating was like he hasn't eaten in decades. I feel bad now.

"You know what, Mish? I'm going to take you to the park; and guess what!" I looked at him, holding on to his firm paws. "We're going to play fetch!"

"WOOF!" he barked and stuck his tongue out and began to wag his tail.

We spent about an hour playing fetch at the park. Mish-Mish was getting tired, and he started lagging. So we sat down to rest on a bench near the ocean. He crawled up on the seat next to me and cuddled with me. He rested his head on my knees and slowly fell  asleep. I start to pet his soft, golden fur.

"Mmh, Mish, you're the best thing in my life, you know that?" I close my eyes. I start to remember my small Mish-Mish; all innocent, cute, small, and scared. I feel like he could be my brother. I have such a close bond with him. I know it's stupid, but I think it's because I think he understands me more than anyone else. He's like my best friend, no offence to Marcie.

A half hour later, Mish-Mish and I walk back home. For some reason I was drained out of energy completely! As I get close to our house, I noticed a man wearing all black, and just standing there. He's tall, skinny but not weak, in fact, pretty well built. And if I'm not mistaken, it looks like he's barefoot. I can't make out his face, even as I get closer, I don't see it. How strange. I felt as if I was looking at a guy with no face, even though I know there was a face; I still coudldn't make it out.

As I walked up the stairs, I supposed that the boy or man -I really have no idea - was staring at me. Maybe he was a man coming for my mom? Maybe she was supposed to meet up with him? I never noticed him before. Maybe he was just taking a rest, I thought, trying to convince myself. I had a strange, query, and sudden urge to jump at him and force him to answer all my questions; but, that sounded too...well, psycho.

When I closed the door to my house, Mish-Mish looked at me with sad eyes. I tilted my head, trying to figure out what he was trying to tell me. He looked toward the door and started barking. I still don't understand. He started barking even louder, circled around the door mat a couple of times, and then started standing on his hind legs, and started scratching the door.

"Okay, so it's outside?" I asked him. He gave me a dog nodd. "wait, let me look." I turned and opened the window blinds. The man was still outside. His back is to me, but the way I saw him earlier clearly shows it's the same guy.
