M'gann pulled another tray of cookies out of the oven. Wally snickered behind a wall. Artemis elbowed him.
"Shh, you're going to ruin the plan," Artemis said.
"Sorry, it's just gonna be hilarious to see the looks on their faces," Wally said.
"Here he comes!" NightWing said. Connor walked into the kitchen and looked at M'gann. She looked at him, but he looked away. Ever since her and La'gaan broke up Connor seemed to be wanting to kiss M'gann. So the team set up a plan that would hopefully get M'gann and Connor back together.
"Oh, the things that happen when the league is not here," Kaldur said.
"Get set, okay Wally, go," NightWing said. Wally walked into the kitchen. Artemis pushed play on the stereo, and Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid started playing.
"Percussion," Wally said and NightWing walked out.
"Strings," Artemis walked out.
"Winds," Kaldur walked out.
"Words," Wally started singing. "There, you see her, sitting there across the way. She don't got a lot to say, but there's something about her. And you don't know why but you're dying to try you want to, kiss the girl." Connor looked at M'gann and she blushed and turned away.
Kaldur started singing, "Yes, you want her, look at her you know you do. Possible she wants you to there is one way to ask her. It don't take a word, not a single word go on and kiss the girl. Sing with me now."
Connor walked over to the sofa and sat down, not looking at M'gann.
Artemis started singing, "Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la, my, oh, my, look like the boy to shy, ain't gonna kiss the girl."
"Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la, ain't that sad, ain't it a shame, too bad, he gonna miss the girl," Dick said as M'gann walked out of the room, Connor walking out the opposite way. Dick, Artemis, Wally, and Kaldur looked at each other. They sighed. Making another plan, they started out after them.
An hour later M'gann was on the beach reading a book and Connor was playing with Wolf in the water.
Wally popped out of the water and looked at Connor, starting to sing, "Now's your moment, floating in a blue lagoon, boy you better do it soon, no time will be better." M'gann walked back to the cave.
Kaldur popped out of the ocean, "She don't say a word and she won't say a word until you kiss the girl."
Connor got out and walked to the cave, little did he know what Dick and Artemis had planned. He walked in seeing M'gann sitting at a small table, with spaghetti, and candles. Artemis ushered him over there. "Sha-la-la-la-la-la, don't be scared, we got the mood prepared, go on and kiss the girl. Sha-la-la-la-la-la, don't stop now, don't try to hide it how you wanna kiss the girl."
NightWing appeared, "Sha-la-la-la-la-la, float along and listen to the song, the song say kiss the girl. Sha-la-la-la-la-la, music play, do what the music say, you wanna kiss the girl." Wally and Kaldur came in and the four softly sang.
"Kiss the girl. You wanna, kiss the girl, gonna kiss the girl, go on and, kiss the girl!" Then, ever so slowly, Connor wrapped his arm around M'gann's neck and pulled her into a soft kiss. Then they started talking and eating the pasta.
The other four walked out smiling.
"The spaghetti was a nice touch," Kaldur said.
"Thank you," Wally said.
"You do realize that was from The Lady and the Tramp right? Not from The Little Mermaid," Artemis asked.
"Dang it!" Wally said.
"At least it was a success," Dick said and the others agreed.
Meanwhile....
M'gann and Connor watch as their four friends leave.
"Do you think we should tell them we were already back together?" Connor asked eating a meatball.
"Nah, let them celebrate getting us back together," M'gann said and Connor smiled as the two enjoyed the meal.
