chapter three - neighbour

The school day had dragged on for Aidriel and he was happy to be on his way home with his brother already. Pulling into the driveway of his home, Aidriel and Derek were practically bouncing in there seats with "Killing You" by Asking Alexandria blaring from the speakers in the car.

"Oh, home!" Aidriel cried, pulling the keys from the ignition after turning off the car. He quickly unbuckled his seat belt, opened his door and launched himself out of the car. He slammed the door shut and ran towards the front door, happy to finally be home after seven and a half hours.

After getting the front door unlocked, Aidriel threw himself inside the house and ran towards the laptop sitting on the coffee table in the living. "Oh, no safe search internet, I've missed you!" he gripped the laptop tightly and held it close to his chest.

"You're such a child," Derek laughed at him as he closed the door and dropped his back pack on the couch. "I don't see the difference between internet with safe search and internet without it."

Aidriel scoffed at his brother, "the difference is you can watch porn and look at dirty pictures without meeting restrictions and the other is that it's all blocked and you're stuck being horny without porn to get you off."

"It amazes me how open you are," Derek shook his head, "but yet you can't be as open with your sexuality? You make no sense."

"Hey, not everybody can be confident about their sexual orientation, Derek. Just because you're a confident gay doesn't mean we all are!" Aidriel snapped and flopped down on the couch with the laptop still hugged to his chest.

"Do you know how happy Mum was when I told her I was gay?" Derek laughed and shook his head.

"Yes, because she did the same to me. She squealed and pulled me tightly saying she's always dreamed of having gay kids," Aidriel pursed his lips, "she worries me sometimes." Derek nodded in agreement. Their mum was quite compulsive and very open with everything. She wasn't bothered about both of her sons being gay, she was quite happy when she found out.

The two boys fell into silence when they began to do their own things; Aidriel looking up inapporiate things on the laptop and Derek being the good student that he was and began on homework. Homework that Aidriel would end up copying later on that night because that kid didn't do homeowork unless the work was already done and all he had to do was copy because he was lazy.

"Ugh, that's gross," Aidriel made a face at the screen and quickly exited out of the page before shutting the laptop and staring blankly at the black screen of the TV. He glared at the remote and how far away it was from him. It wasn't within arm reach and usually when things weren't within arm reach for him, he no longer needed it. But this time it was something important.

With a grunt, he leant forward and outstretched his hand with the most effort he's ever put into anything. He groaned when he had to adjust himself a bit more and lost the comfortable feeling of the spot he had once been in all for a damned remote that turned on the bloody TV for his petty entertainment.

He sighed with relief when his fingers brushed over the smooth plastic and he pulled it towards him with is middle finger before wrapping his slim fingers round the remote. He sat back with it in his hands and turned so he could stretch out his legs on the couch.

After Aidriel turned on the TV and the cable box, he abesnt mindedly searched through the many channels whilst humming "Face Down" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. His mood changed from bored to happiness and excitement the momen he saw the film he wanted to watch.
