Chapter 6

"G-good afternoon, Oshiro-senpai", Oshiro immediately felt the distance in the girl's words, her tone isn't her usual warm one. Oshiro felt something in his heart tingle. He has to find out what's wrong.

"(y/n), tell me what's wrong" He demanded the girl in front of him, at his words she looked uneasy.

"Nothing, senpai... at least not that I know of" Her gaze was not on him, and it somehow made him frustrated. (y/n) is acting so distant, it made his heart break. He doesn't even understand why she's acting like this.

"You're acting strange, (y/n)"

"Strange...?" (y/n) gave out a little laugh,

She doesn't get him, as much as he her. She's acting normal. This is how she would act once she can't get a chance with him anymore. She has to distance herself. She knows that she won't be able to look at him directly for some time. It would be too painful.

Oshiro stared at the girl, she's not saying anything. He knew how stubborn the girl can be, but it doesn't mean that he'll stop questioning her. She and her strange behavior is messing up his mind. He doesn't even understand himself. It's not like not having (y/n) follow him around is such a big significant change in his life. He should be happy. (y/n) was annoying and she's a pest.

However, right now, her troubles is something that Oshiro would want to know. He needs to know why she's acting weirdly. This is the first time she has ever avoided him, no matter how painful his words may be.

Oshiro sighed, and his eyes returned to (y/n). "Alright, if you say so"

(Y/n) accidentally looked over him, and she nearly melted with Oshiro's smile. Even if that smile hinted a bit of disappointment and frustration, it was still her beloved senpai's smile. And all of his smiles are heart-fluttering.

(y/n) averted her eyes from him,

"I'll walk you home, (y/n)"

She turned her attention back to him,

"Aren't you gonna wait for Mayu-senpai?" Oshiro's brows furrowed with her question,

"Why would I?"

(Y/n) tilted her head to one side, thinking about her senpai's response. But then, she remembered how the boy wasn't really the romantic type. But still, if she were her girlfriend, she would scold him for not walking her home. Or would she? After all, if she was his girlfriend, she would have taken anything from her senpai.

Still, letting him walk her home would be turning against her words, she has to avoid him at all cost. Besides, if someone were to find out, Mayu might be hurt, or worse (y/n) could ruin their relationship,

"No, senpai. I'll be fine on my own. I'll be going, then. See you" Once more bowing to him, she turned on her heel and began trudging her way back home.

Sighing, she was oblivious of the presence of the boy she rejected the offer of walking her home. Oshiro stayed a little over 15 steps away from her, so as to not alarm her his presence.

If she won't tell me what's wrong, then I'll just have to find out myself.
