" chief where Hadley?" He asked
We turned around to see Hadley was gone. We all knew what that meant. He was inside.
" go." Chief said and Casey and Kelly ran in.

"You go left and I'll go right." I said and he agreed.
" Hadley come on no more games let's get you out of here." I called out but he didn't respond
" come on Hadley it doesn't have to be like this." Then I saw him move
" Hadley. Put that down." It was a gun. " PUT THE PIECE ON THE FLOOR" I got on the radio

Kelly POV:
" HADLEY DROP IT!" I lunged toward him and the next thing I knew I was on the ground
Julia POV:
Casey came out and then we heard gunshots. My heart sank. The firefighter alarm went off.
" MAYDAY MAYDAY FIREFIGHTER DOWN SHOTS FIRED AT 145 APPLEGATE COURT I NEED POLICE POWER HERE NOW!" Boden yelled into the radio.
" chief. We gotta go get him." Casey said. Halstead and Lindsay arrived. Then the window broke and Hadley jumped out. They went after him and we went inside to get Kelly. They brought him out unconscious. We drove him to the hospital.
"Talk to me." Maggie said
" it's kelly, he was shot by the arsonist we are trying to capture. gunshot to chest." I said
"Ohh Julia... I'm so sorry." April said coming up to us
" just save my brother."
Then Will came over
"Hey kid, you alright?"
" I'm fine but he isn't. His stats are dropping."

I nodded and gabby, jimmy and I walked out of the room. Jimmy put a hand on my back.
" you need anything?" He asked
I began to cry and he hugged me. 51 was walking in along with the intelligence unit.
" don't tell me..." Casey said
" no, they're working on him. We just got him here about 5 minutes ago." Gabby said
" oh good. Julia you alright?" He asked and I cried harder "come here." And I switched from borelli to Matt "it's okay they've got him."
Erin put a hand on my shoulder "hey Julia, we got him. He can't hurt anyone anymore."
I hugged them too.
" if you need anything. You call us." Jesse said and gave me a hug.
"Your brother is with him now."
" alright I'll go check on things."
He went into the room and came out with Natalie and Will.
" so we got him stable for now but we need to go get that bullet so he's going to need surgery." Natalie said
" okay when is that?" I asked
" we want to do it soon." Will said
" okay." I said and they walked away.

A few hours later...
I was in the kitchen making a coffee when voight walked in with jay.
"Hey Jules how ya doin?" Hank asked
" as best as I can be without answers."

" I don't know I really don't I mean that's all that keeps being asked but the thing is how can I be okay with the fact that my ex boyfriend just not only tried to kill my brother but my whole family. He put a bullet in Kelly's chest and its all my fault!" I yelled. Everyone was in the hallway.
" Julia, this wasn't your fault. None of this was your fault.we see cases like these everyday and the people who say it's their fault well it's never their fault." Voight said that
"You can't blame yourself. You didn't know Hadley was going to do this. He did this all by himself and he's gonna take the ride for it." Jay said
"Julia." Hermann said and I walked into the hallway to see Will and Natalie standing there.
Jimmy held my hand.
"He's in critical condition still and we want to keep him for a few nights but he did very well." Will said
" so he's alive?" I asked
" yes Julia he's alive."
I jumped into Will's arms giving him a hug.
