A year later....
Casey POV:
"Julia where's your brother?" Casey asked
" no idea last time I saw him he was outside with jimmy talking about what? No idea."
I laughed and walked outside to see them standing there talking. Kelly out his hand on jimmy and I ran over.
" WOAH WOAH WAIT! What's going on here?!" I said pulling them apart.
" everything's fine Matt. He just gave me his blessing on asking his sister to marry me."
I looked at him and he had a half sad half happy smirk on.
" go get her borelli." I said and turned towards kelly.
" well.... how was that."
" the hardest thing ive ever had to do. It was cutting the chord between me and her." He said
I smiled and gave him a hug.
"When's it happening?" I asked
Then borelli came outside screaming telling everybody to come out. we didn't even realize the intelligence unit was standing there with their lights on and our trucks were outside with their lights on.
"Apparently now." Kelly said
" boy doesn't waste time."
"Jimmy what's going on?" Julia asked and then looked at kelly and he shrugged
" Julia Severide we've been through hell and back together and no matter what I don't want anybody else by my side when those roller coasters happen. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" He asked
Kelly rolled his eyes and I snickered but nudged him.
" Yes of course I will!"
The horns and sirens went off from the cars.
"congrats little sister!" I said giving her a hug.
"Aww thanks Matt."
Then kelly went up to her " I'm happy for you sis. I love you be careful." He said and they hugged.
" I love you kel."
We had a little celebration and then the tones dropped and we went to the fire.
Julia POV:
"Nice rock." Gabby said and we laughed. Jimmy was on the truck now so we were back to just the two of us.
When we got there the building was getting hot. Intelligence rolled up behind us.
"Severide , Dawson you're needed second floor gear up." Chief said and we did. We headed up and then we heard something.
"Gabby..." I said. That was a sound nobody wanted to hear.
" julia... slowly walk towards me."
"Gabby there's no point just go. I'll be fine."
" no im not leaving here without you!"
" GABBY GO! ILL BE RIGHT BEHIND BUT GO! There's no point in two of us dying."
Jay POV:
"Where's julia?!" I yelled at them
" she's inside why?" Chief asked
" I just got a call. Hadley's calling shots from the inside. They think a guy he knows set this fire to trap her."
"SEVERIDE!" Chief yelled
Julia POV:
I was scared. No doubt. One sudden movement and the floor would fall apart and the roof would collapse.
"Gabby please, go."
" I'm not leaving you behind Julia so stop."
" it's time. You can't be here anymore. Go I promise I'll be right behind you."
" why don't I believe you."
" because, I'm probably lying. You have to get out of here for Matt. He'll hate me forever if I don't get you out of here."
"What about me? Kelly will hate me along with jimmy if I don't get their sister and fiancée out safely."
" this was obviously a trap set for me gabby. Just go. If they want me they got me."
Jay POV:
Severide and Casey came over with the rest of 51 who wasn't inside.
" what's going on chief?" Kelly asked
Chief looked at me.
" Hadley's calling shots from the inside. We think he set the trap for julia."
He couldn't say anything.
Julia POV:
The building roared.
"GABBY GO!"
"NOT WITHOUT YOU!"
Then I saw Cruz.
" let's go you're brothers and boyfriends and fiancées are waiting for you."
" take her if I move this whole place collapses."
" I can't do that." Joe said
" yes you can joe. Go I'll be fine I'll be right behind you."
He hesitated "gabby lets go."
She gave me one last look and then they left.
" you know she's lying right."
" yes I know but it's julia severide she was never coming with us."
Jay POV:
Gabby came out with Cruz.
"Where's julia?!" Kelly yelled
" she wouldn't come. If she moves that whole place crumbles." Gabby said
"I'm going inside" Kelly said
"No you're not. It's too dangerous." Chief said
Kelly POV:
I radioed into her.
" Julia. Can you hear me?"
"Yeah I can hear you?"
" have you moved?"
" not yet."
" you gotta do it now sis."
" I can't kelly."
"Julia you have to im not ready to lose my little sister. You can do it. I love you Jules just get out of there."
No response. Everybody stared at the building.
"julia." I said again
Nothing. Static. The building exploded and my heart dropped. Everyone's heads spun in mine and Jimmys direction. A bunch of the guys ran in and then a few minutes later came out with a body. My sisters. They put her on the stretcher and jimmy and I stared at each other.
" you go. She needs her brother." Jimmy said
"You sure?"
" yeah. Go." He said
I gave him a hug and then hopped onto the ambulance.
" come on julia you gotta be okay. Come on wake up."
