"Frank! Why did you do that?!" Dorothy hissed, turning around to face Jane.

"Jane, he was our last chance to get home!" I shouted, on the verge of tears.

"That's what I should've done years ago," she said quietly.

"Who are you?!" Dorothy asked her.

"Jane from Ev. She re-built Jack," I informed her.

"It's been twenty years since I've seen your faces. Since I let you both go and gave you two to Karen. Now it's time for us to go home," Jane told us softly.

I let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding as my twin walked up to stand beside me. Slowly, Jane put the gun down on a table and walked over to us.

"Dawn? Dorothy? My name is Jane," she said, her voice soft as she gently took our hands in hers.

I instantly pulled awy from her.

"We've been lied to our whole lives," I said quietly.

"This isn't a lie!" Jane defended.

"How do we know?" Dorothy asked.

"When you both were little, I gave you tattoos on your left hands, just below your thumbs. Five dots in a circle," she said before graspign our hands again.

Her fingers traced the dots gently, her skin warm.

"I used to kiss each mark before I put you to sleep," she said, tears brimming in her blue eyes.

"Yeah, one to keep you safe, one for good dreams, and this one right here..." she sniffed, trailing off.

"Why?" I asked her softly.

"So that if I ever lost you girls, I could find you again," she said, smiling with tears in her eyes.

A thousand thought flitted through my mind, landing on only one: Jane was our mother.Suddenly, thunder sounded overhead and we saw a large stormcloud forming.

"I know you both have so many questions. I wanna answer all of them. Right now we have to go before it's too late," she told us, leading us to the transport tube.

"Why?" I asked, stopping her.

"Dawn, we-" she started but I cut her off.

"Why did you leave us?" I asked her.

"I made a promise to keep you both safe,"

"Well, we would have been safe with you,"

"Not here you wouldn't have,"

"Well, it would have felt safe," Dorothy interrupted and I nodded, agreeing with her.

A loud clap of thunder erupted overhead again.

"Dorothy, Dawn, we have to go!" Jane insisted.
