"Stay back! They're no threat!" the Wizard ordered the guard.

"I have a hole in my shoulder that speaks otherwise," the guard countered, shooting a glare towards Dorothy.

"They're my guests! I've extended my friendship to them," the Wizard insisted.

I felt a sigh of relief well up in my throat as the guard lowered his weapon.

"Please reconsider. When I came upon her and the soldier from limbo, they seemed very close," he told the Wizard.

My brown eyes shot to my sister.

"Lucas? You're still traveling with him?" I whispered to her.

She nodded slightly in response.

"Where is he?" she pressed the guard.

"Still think they pose no threat?" he shot to the Wizard.

"Lucas is the one who was hurt by your men and he lost his memory because of it so where is he?" she demanded.

"She's wrong. Anna just confirmed it. His memory's intact but it is protected by magic,"

"You wanna earn my trust?" Dorothy suddenly said, turning to the Wizard, "You need to let me see him."

The Wizard nodded in agreeance, allowing her to go see Lucas. While they were preoccupied, I slipped away to go find Jack. I needed to tell him what had just transpired. As well as answer his questions as to where I'd been all night.
