Are you ready to go out that window and welcome the world Maya said

So ready! I said excited

Let's go! Maya said and we go through my bay window to the outside world

Till we were caught by my Dad and moved back inside and sat on my bed

Here's the thing my dad said coming in through my window

Your not ready to go out there dad said

My world is still my world until you make yours mine will be forgotten dad said

How long do I have to live in my fathers world I say looking at Maya and she looks back at me for a brief second

Because he is my mom said by the door of my bedroom

And walked next to my dad

He knows everything that will happen my mom said

Me and Maya were walking in the subway till we heard music like drums

Maya was dancing to the rhythm of the drums

Maya looked at me then continued to walk as I followed behind her

No slouching Maya a girl with a black leather jacket that was completely older than me and Maya said

Thanks Gretchen Maya said and walked in a cooler way as I mimicked her actions

We walk into a subway train and holding onto the metal bars in the middle

I put on some lip stick and Maya looked at me with a smirk

Woah! Riley you don't wear lip stick Maya said

Well I just want to be as bad as my best friend I said

And you think that putting on lip stick is gonna make you as dangerous as me Maya said

Well look behind you cause there's a hunk over there reading a book Maya said

As I looked behind me to see a brown haired boy as the same age as me and Maya and I groan that I have a crush on subway boy

If you like him then you should go over there Maya said

But what if he doesn't like me I said with a frown

As she touched my hand and gently took it off the metal bar and I went backwards over to subway boy
