"What do you want?" I asked the so called Brookery. He gave me an expressionless stare which then turned into a smile, I wanted to smile back but I had to take this seriously.
He took one step closer so that I could smell his rotting breath and see directly into his beady eyes. Then I froze, this wasn't a good idea, something felt wrong about this man, well, everything was wrong about him.
When he stopped smiling at me he opened his little mouth to speak. "Miss Alice of Caldey, it is a pleasure to meet you!" He said in a very posh British accent that did not fit his body at all. "So miss Alice, you are very lucky that I found that letter you sent and not some lunatic," I wouldn't be so sure of that, "like a wood troll or a pavelonva pixy, their the worst, but I'm here now so there is nothing to worry about. As you may know from my letter, my name is Brookery, I live in a forest on the mainland. You wouldn't of herd of it mostly because it doesn't really exist. You see, I am not a human Alice, I am a forest garwal"
I didn't exactly know how to reply to that, a strange man had stalked me, asked me to meet him in the middle of the night then tell me he is some mythical creature. I was looking around for some way out of there, but he caught my panicking face.
"There is no need to be afraid lovely, I'm here now", although that was the main reason I was afraid.
"Who are you and what do you want from me" I asked him,
Then he took my hand in his, all went dark.
