It had been a couple of days since the storm. After being out in that storm, Sokka had started to get sick. We had stopped in an abandoned Earth Kingdom Temple to treat Sokka. Katara laid Sokka on Appa's side while I started to make a fire to make Sokka some special tea. I needed one more ingredient, ginger root, so I asked Aang to go and look for some that might be around the area.

"If I make this right, it should bring Sokka's fever down a bit," I thought after waiting a while, "But I need some ginger root first. Without it, all the tea might do is help his cough."

"This should bring your fever down," said Katara as she placed a wet rag on Sokka's forehead.

"You know what I love about Appa the most?" asked Sokka raspy, "His sense of humor."

"That's nice, I'll tell him," smiled Katara as Appa growled.

"Ha!" laughed Sokka, "Classic Appa!"

"How's Sokka doing?" asked Aang as he returned.

"Not so good," said Katara, "Being out in that storm really did a number on him."

"Aang, did you find the ginger root?" I asked.

"I couldn't find any ginger root for the tea," said Aang.

"Perfect," I thought disappointed, then said, "Well, I can make him something that could help his throat, but without some ginger root I can't do much."

"I did find a map," said Aang, "There's an herbalist institute on the top of that mountain. We can probably find a cure for Sokka there."

"Aang, he's in no condition to travel," said Katara, "Sokka just needs more rest, I'm sure he'll be better by tomorrow. *cough* *cough*"

"Not you too," said Aang.

"Relax it was just a little cough," assured Katara, "I'll be fine..*cough**cough**cough*"

Aang backed away from Katara until she was done then said, "That's how Sokka started yesterday, now look at him. He thinks he's an earthbender."

"Take that you rock!" shouted Sokka as he moved his arms around like he was bending.

"In a few hours and you'll be talking nonsense too. I'm going to get some medicine," said Aang as he prepared his glider. As Aang was about to take off, he noticed the large thunderclouds covering the sky, "Uh, maybe it's safe if I go on foot. Take care of them guys." Appa growled in understanding, while Momo stared at Aang.

"Hahaha!" laughed Sokka again, "You guys are killing me!"

"Aang, if you're not back in a few hours then I'm coming after you, understand?" I asked.

Aang nodded, then darted fast than the wind towards the mountain across from our position.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," I thought as I watched him fade into the distance.

After a while I started to get worried, as I gave Katara and Sokka some tea.

"Thanks Hikaru," thanked Katara as she started her coughing fit again.

"You should try not to speak," I said, "Aang where are you?" Just then I heard a horn sound, it was faint, but I knew it was a Fire Nation horn. "Something's happened."

"Hikaru, what's wrong?" Katara asked as I packed my gourds on my belt.

"It's probably nothing," I assured, "But Aang's been gone for a while, I'm going to go look for him." Once my gourds were packed I headed out, "I'll be back soon."
