➳ Chapter 14 ➳

➳ "Ouch!" Rafinha exclaims, waking up as he gets hit by a pillow. Rubbing his eyes, he opens one eye and see's Neymar standing there. He closes his eyes again and gets hit by another pillow. Again, he opens one eye and notices a few more figures. The rest of the boys were there too, all starring at him. 

"I'm getting up." He murmurs and starts snoring again. It was nine in the morning and the boys decided they'd all go gym but Rafinha was still in bed, sleeping. 

Messi walks over to Rafinha and taps him gently on the arm, "Rafa get up. We've got to go to the gym." Nothing. Rafinha seems like he was just knocked out asleep. 

Luis and Gerad both walk over, "Here. Let us try!" Messi had the look on his face where he did not like the sound of this and before anything happened, Luis and Gerad open their bottles of water and start pouring over Rafinha making him jump up, gasping as if he were drowning.

Luis rolls his eyes, "Rafinha, you're not drowning. Come on, get up." 

Neymar just stood there with a look on his face so he quietly left and tiptoed out until Messi caught him and then they both tiptoed out. Luis and Gerad turn around and notice Messi and Neymar had disappeared and gulped. "Oh boy." Luis adds, looking at Rafinha who had water dripping down his face.

"Morning Alessia. Morning Elle." Maryse says, smiling at the two girls who just came in and put their aprons on. 

Alessia smiled back at Maryse, "Morning Maryse." However, Elle didn't say anything and decided to stay quiet and just give a quick smile making Maryse grin. Elle knew that Maryse was up to something weird and she really needed to speak to Alessia about this. 

Meanwhile, Leo had finished earlier than the boys at the gym and decided he'd pay Alessia a visit. To thank her for being so polite and nice in general at the party last night. He walked over to the bar where it seemed busy. The weather was starting to get extremely hot and he wondered how did Alessia even work in such conditions.

"Can I get breakfast please? Some fruit and bread will do." Leo asks at the counter, making both Alessia and Maryse turn around. Alessia was busy making smoothies and Maryse was making pancakes but instantly looked up at Leo. Before she could start preparing his breakfast, Leo interrupted her. 

"Maryse, do you mind if Alessia makes it please. She knows the style I like it and the fruits I eat. Do you mind just pouring me a glass of water please?" He says, making her force a smile.

"Sure." 

Alessia turns around when she hears her name and walks over to Leo whilst she picks out some fruits and berries from a fresh box of them. "Leo, hey! How are you? Oh by the way, it was so fun at your party. I'm very happy for you and Antonella!" 

Leo smiled and chuckled to himself as he watched her neatly decorate his plate with some toasted bread, loaf and fruits. "No worries, I actually wanted to thank you. It was so nice having you, Antonella and I are very fond of you. She told me how pretty you are."

Alessia couldn't help but blush, "aw, thank you guys. You always spoil me with such lovely comments." 

Maryse couldn't help but feel the anger in her that the water from the bottle was overflowing and pouring out of the glass. Elle watched closely and realised that Maryse was getting jealous, "Don't you think you've poured enough water already?" she asks.

Maryse looked up at Elle and then looked at the glass and realised. "Stop worrying what I'm doing Elle, you're just a newbie so stay in your lane." She mumbles, rolling her eyes at Elle.

Elle just laughed, "I'm a newbie and know how to pour water in a glass without overflowing it unlike you who-well- you're just you aren't you?"

That comment seemed to have angered Maryse even more that she dropped the glass in anger and frustration, making both Alessia and Messi turn around. "Is everything okay?" Alessia asks, her face in shock seeing the shattered pieces of glass lying on the floor.

"Yeah I-"

"Yeah it's fine Alessia. Maryse here just has a bad experience with glass, they don't get along you see." Elle interrupts, laughing making the situation seem light and humorous and Maryse storms off. 

"I can't stand her, god she's so annoying." Luis interrupts as he walks over the the bar, just when Maryse walks off scoffing. Alessia and Leo were just confused at what happened and Alessia was about to go after Maryse but Elle stops her.

"Who Maryse?" Leo asks, still a bit curious to know why but he didn't like Maryse either so it was cool.

Luis just scoffed, "yeah, she was so annoying at the party last night. Kept dancing with Rafinha and stealing him away from me. At one point, I couldn't tell if it was Alessia or her."

"Wait what?" Messi, Alessia and Elle say at the same time making Luis look at all three of them with a certain face, "I'm being serious."

"She wasn't even invited the rat, how did she even get past security?" Elle asks, making Leo snort a little.

Leo wondered the same, "Exactly Elle. I had top security." Elle had this curious but thoughtful look on her face. Something was up. She was going to get to the bottom of this but first she had to convince Alessia that Maryse was being fake, but how?

"I-I gotta go um. I have an important phone call to make guys." Alessia says, stuttering a little and rushes off. Elle shouted "Alessia" but she didn't turn back.

"Anyways, I'll have some orange juice please." Luis asks smiling at Elle who quickly poured and handed him a glass and he walked off with his drink as he patted Leo on the back. "Thanks."

Both Leo and Elle went quiet for a little and then looked up at each other. "Oh, your breakfast. This is so embarrassing. Sorry about all the drama." She says, feeling quite speechless.

Leo took his tray with his breakfast and asked Elle a question, "Do you mind joining me for breakfast Elle? We need to talk." 

Instantly Elle's face lit up but she had to hold it in and act cool. She kept telling herself it was just Leo Messi, no biggie. But she was squealing inside. When they got to the table, Leo ate his fruit and asked Elle a question. 

"Do you know how Maryse got in last night?" 

Elle just shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. Luis said that she was there, but he was drunk so maybe he was imagining." 

Leo nodded his head, "True. His dancing was crazy last night, I got someone to film it. Are Alessia and Maryse friends again? I noticed the way they were acting, it was so normal."

Elle just nodded in response and sighed, "Sadly yes. I don't even know how but I remember Alessia telling me that Maryse had apologised to her for everything and you know Alessia, she's too kind she can't hurt anyone, even if she's always the one to get hurt."

Leo noticed the way Elle spoke and smiled, "You're such a good friend. I don't want Alessia to get hurt, she's like a younger sister to me. Be the good friend you are and always be there for her." He says.

"Of course Leo, I knew I wanted to be her friend the moment I met her and realised how kind she was." Elle smiles, lost in a little thought.

"That's good. Anyways, can you try talk to Alessia and i'll talk to Rafinha and see if they know anything about what might of have happened last night. I just don't trust that Maryse, she looks like a bread stick anyway." He mentions, taking a bite into his loaf of bread.

Elle's eyes went wide and she burst into tears of laughter. "Oh my god!" 

"A bread stick!"
