➳ Chapter 21 ➳

➳ Bruna remained silent. She looked around the room trying to find something to say and Alessia noticed how quiet she was, feeling stupid for asking that question. Instead, Alessia tried to change the subject by talking about the prank that was played on her.

'So, the prank today is kind of funny now when I think about it. Gosh I was so serious and I-'

'He likes you.'

Immediately Alessia's head shot around towards Bruna and she was quite puzzled after what she just heard. However, it somewhat made Alessia feel relived and calm. 

'Yep, and I feel like he's liked you for a very long time Alessia.' Bruna says, taking a sip into her coffee and then pulled an excited face, 'Mhmm this is so delicious' 

Alessia laughed because she was surprised that Bruna actually liked her coffee. She always thought anything she made tasted horrible. Back to reality, she was shocked and didn't know how to feel.

Bruna gave a delightful smile and placed her hand on Alessia's, 'You don't have to be shy Alessia, I know you like him too. The feeling is mutual right?' 

Smiling to herself, she thought she may as well reply since it was pretty obvious. 'I do, I've fallen in love with how kind he is. And the way he reacted when that prank got pulled on me, I've never seen anyone get that serious, especially for me.'

Bruna knew how much Alessia admired and liked Rafinha and it made her light up inside, seeing the love. 'You guys need to go on a date! Tomorrow. I'll help you with the outfit and everything but you have to tell him how you feel!' 

Alessia gave a warm smile, she knew that it was time she said how much she really liked Rafinha and what he truly meant to her.

The next morning Alessia woke up to the sounds of the birds tweeting outside her apartment window. The sun, again beaming with light and the day was a lot warmer. She woke up, got out of bed and got ready. A smile appeared on her face when she picked up her phone to see she had received a text message from Rafinha, telling her that he had sorted out the apartment issue. She even noticed he had left kisses and in their chat, they never really sent many kisses, especially not more than one.

Today, she felt like curling her hair and applying makeup, and by makeup she would only add a tint of colour to her lips and a little bit of mascara. She knew Rafinha liked her for her natural beauty and she wanted it to be that way. Making her way to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of orange juice, the doorbell rang. When she went to go open the door, she was surprised to see someone.

'Luis?'

'Alessia! Hey!' He smiles, standing there awkwardly at the door.

Alessia stood still at the door, half open and was wondering why Luis was there. 

'I just actually wanted to apologise for yesterday, the prank wasn't funny I know and I feel bad. So, I'm sorry.' He replies, scratching his head nervously.

Alessia gave a laugh, 'aw, it's fine. I did laugh at the thought of it afterwards, gosh I was so serious.'

Following her laugh, Luis gave a sigh and wiped his forehead in relief. 'Phew! And it was actually so hilarious, I love pranks. You kick hard though!' 

He continued laughing after that and Alessia stopped laughing and just stood there, starring at him. So he really did find the prank funny. Luis then turned around behind him and went quiet and then turned back around to Alessia and was serious again. Seeing his odd behaviour, Alessia was curious to why he just did that.
