I'm not extremely happy with this chapter and feel it's a little choppy. But I felt you guys deserved something after the long wait. Oh and dedicated to AyshaKhatun for an awesome cover. She made more and they'll be featured in other chapters. Also a big thank you to SaltyPepper (the next chapter is dedicated to you girl <3) for her cover that will also be featured :D
Chapter 5
I was the picture of ease, sitting delicately in my usual middle seat, trying my hardest not to count the seconds ticking sluggishly by. I let my mind drift back to my first morning with Charlie and couldn’t resist the shudder that rippled through my delicate frame. The man was absolutely revolting and that’s me putting it mildly. Like all aspects of my life, I needed everything perfectly my way. Not in a diva-ish way, just that it helped me de-stress having everything perfect. It’s not like I’m being unreasonable for heavens sake!
My morning-time ritual was quite simple;
1) Wake to the recorded sounds of exotic parrots chirping
2) Ten minute bath (water at exactly 29C) with incense from solace fruit selection
3) Whilst in bath, shave, full-body exfoliate and wash hair
4) Meditate for five minutes while ‘air drying’
5) Cucumber ice-bath facial
6) Full body moisturize
7) Brush teeth twice thoroughly
8) Review eyebrows for stray hairs
9) Text Paulie to prepare my morning tea
10) Hair and make-up by Angela
11) And finally put on a cute but plain outfit for school
It was a simple routine that helped me mentally prepare for the migraine, attending school always gave me. I had hopped out of the bath humming softly, laying the towel onto the floor for my meditation. Taking a seat and focusing my breathing I channeled my inner peace.
BANG BANG BANG
My inner peace flew out the window in order to escape the heinous sound. I glared a hole through the door, which inconsiderate fool was idiotic enough to interrupt my meditation?
“EDEN! Open up I need the toilet” the groggy voice called out. “EDEN HURRY UP!” Charlie moaned banging the door again. I decided then and there that the boy was certifiably crazy if he was willing to mess with ‘morning Eden’.
“Charlie” I ground out trying to desperately hold onto that foreign thing called patience “Go and use the one downstairs” silence greeted me. Deciding that meditation was lost I scrambled to my feet and continued my routine
Eden: Hey Paulie I’m almost done make sure my tea is ready :)
I slipped on a sarong and sat on the bed awaiting Angela. I had stumbled upon her by pure chance and yet I couldn’t survive a day without her working her magic.
“Eden darling, such a beautiful new home you have” Angela called out walking up the stairs.
“Thank you Angela how are you?” I asked politely. Lying back and having yourself made beautiful is so relaxing, so I made it a point to always be friendly before she actually started
“Just dreadful my dear, four hours with sniveling models at a fashion show is not my ideal way of spending a Sunday. One girl had the nerve to complain that it was my makeup that was making her look ugly. Can you imagine?” Angie rambled setting her tools out.
