The word has gone all around town about my pregnancy. My, Angelica really can't keep her mouth shut. There is also a spread of something other than word. There is a horrible disease spreading all over town! What if i get infected? What will become of my baby? What if my baby doesn't survive? What am I going to tell Samuel? It started a few weeks ago. With this little boy, who roamed the woods a lot and liked to drink from random puddles of water. Wait is that a boat pulling up? Oh my, It's full of soldiers. Samuel can be on that boat! I rush over. Oh my, this baby weight does not feel good. There he is. He runs over and we kiss. It feels amazing to have his lips touch mine again. He caresses my shoulders and slowly makes it down to my waist. There we are staring at each other smiling, his hands still on my waist.
"What is this i hear about you being pregnant, my love?" He says in his amazing voice.
"Oh so you got my letter. Well remember the day before you left, when we were in bed all night and day doing things most married couples do? That's when it happened."
"Oh my i almost forgot that night." He says laughing.
"Well i have more news. A horrible disease has spread, killing almost a hundred people." I say with a lump in my throat. "Our baby could be in danger, we could all be in danger."
He kisses me and says, "Just have hope that it won't happen."
About one month has passed and i have fallen ill. I was so close to having a child, but I doubt this child would survive anyways. This child would not be getting the right nutrients in my stomach if i don't even eat. This may be my last day alive. If only mother could see how far I have come, but she is in a better place now. Soon I will be too.
