Emily's POV
"Hi," Mark said.
Should I respond. You know what Emily. You know what. Stop being dramatic.
"Hey."
He grabbed his phone out of his backpack and sat next to me.
"Emily, I don't want things to be weird between us."
He looked me in the eyes with plead.
Stop. Don't say that, don't look at me like that.
I quickly looked away, because I wanted to avoid eye contact.
"Emily, I don't want you to hate me and I don't want you to ignore me."
I bit my lip because I knew I was gonna say something and looked down at my lap.
"Emily, what I did was totally wrong. I shouldn't have done that. I feel really bad and I know how much I messed up."
"I'm sorry, Emily." He placed his hand on my chin and made me face him.

I couldn't look at him so I just looked back at my lap.
It was silent for a while.
Dang how long does it take to get Starbucks.
"Say something,"
I finally looked up.
"What do you want me to say Mark?"
He eyes got watery and so did mine, but I shook it off.
"Do you want me to say ' I forgive you we all good' cause Mark I can't"
He grabbed my hand but I pulled away.
"Emily please."
Half of me feels like he saying sorry now cause he thinks Joey and I are dating. Tf
"Mark-"
"Emily I would do anything."
Mark, what are you tryna do.
"To what? Gain my trust, to date me again, to have me forgive you. What exactly do u want from me Thomas."
"I just want us again."
"Mark, they're can't be a freaking 'us' again. I don't know if I want that anymore, I just want us to be friends and get over all this crap."
"Is there any chance they will be an 'us' again?"
"I don't know Mark, I just wanna be friends with everyone and no drama."
"I guess I can take that for now," he said smirking.
I rolled my eyes but smiled.
