I couldn't hold back my smirk any longer when she turned and shut the door. A bit harder than necessary. I could safely say I've never met a girl quite like her. She was a bit feisty in the least. I smiled and assured her parents it was no big deal when they started to apologize for her behavior. It was refreshing from the royal palace girls I was used to. A different twist and I was enjoying it. She definitely didn't seem affected by me at all, which I was surprised by. She didn't even curtsy. I was stunned when she suddenly changed her mind about coming when I said her parents would receive money. After the big intro I expected a bit more. But better the sooner we leave, it would be more helpful if we got there in time so I could explain a little, and maybe give her a tour. I'm sure she would like that. Ha. yeah right.

When she walked back out the door her temper seemed to cool down a bit, and I have to say she looked quite pretty. She had this beauty about her in a natural way, where she didn't need makeup. She seemed strong. Her long black wavy hair was shiny with brown highlights, from what looked like days in the sun. Her skin was pale, but slightly tanned so that she seemed glowing. But it was her expression that did it. I struggled not to laugh. She looked like she was grimacing in pain having to wear the clothes I had given her.

She hugged her parents and followed me outside. When she saw the horse, she looked about ready to faint. "I-Is that a h-horse?" she stuttered. "Yes it is a horse." I said slowly, mostly to make fun of her. She shot me a glare that would make most men turn and run. But I just laughed. "Have you ever ridden one before?" I asked. She looked at me like I was stupid "Are you kidding me? I've never even seen one that looks like this! This must be twice the size of a normal horse, and its Pure black! We don't have pure horses here, were Fives! All our horses are barely bigger than us!" then she seemed to realize who she was talking to and added "Your majesty" with clear distaste and slight embarrassment.

I laughed and replied "You can call me Jason", then I winked at her. I mean, the first girl to ever resist me, I never turn down a challenge. She frowned at me then turned her attention to the horse, she looked scared. "Don't worry, Devil wont bite you, unless you anger him, or step on his hooves." she noticeably swallowed "D-devil? You named your fluffing horse devil? Dear god help us all." she murmured that last part under her breath. "Fluffing? Did you really just say that?" It was so much fun to make fun of her. She rolled her eyes and just nodded to the horse and said "Weren't you the one to say we were in a rush?" I laughed and climbed onto the horse with ease. Years of practice made it take only a seconds. Although, I'm much more used to the current things we have, like my motorcycle, But it would have drawn much more attention then needed.

Piper looked at the horse with unease.  "Put your left foot in the stirrup and swing your right leg over the side." She didn't seem to like having to take instructions but she carefully approached the horses' side. I held out a hand for her to take, which she tried to deny, but then almost fell and so she grabbed my hand.  I was going to have so much fun with this one.

She took a deep breath and carefully moved her left leg over the saddle and sat. She looked around, probably for something to hold onto, and so I grabbed her hands and put them around my stomach. She started to pull back away but I reasoned with her, "You're gonna fall if you don't hold on Kitten." I replied, wanting to bait a response. She  stilled suddenly, her grasp tightening and I felt something was off. I'd have to question her about it later. But for now, I took the reigns and off we went.
