Skyler's P.O.V.

"Skler get up!" a voice boomed. "Make me!" I snap. "Don't take that tone of voice with me Skyler" Dad warned. "Don't take that tone of voice with me Skyler" I mocked in a high voice. I heard my door slam angrily. I threw my blankets off me with a huff. Sliding off the side of the bed, I made my way to my bathroom to shower. Once I finished showering, I wandered over to my closet, grabbing a white tanktop that said "Mah Homies" on it,  a pair of denim cutoffs, black vans, and my favorite black beanie. I throw my medium length blonde hair up in a messy bun, and applied some mascara, and eyeliner to make my blue-green eyes pop, before stomping downstairs. I found my dad in the kitchen pouring himself some coffee. Hearing me come in, he turned to face me, and frowned at me outfit. I rolled my eyes, and walked right past him. I don't care if he likes my outfit or not, it's my decision. Being the mayor, he claims Ihis daughter "isn't the right image of a mayor's daughter". Well I don't give two tosses about that. "are you glad your birthday is tomorrow?" he asks trying to start a conversation. "Mmm hmm" I answer absent mindedly. "Are you excited to get your drivers license tomorrow?" he asks another question. "ya sure what ever" I say trying to end the conversation. Sensing this, he stops talking to me. Grabbing my raybands off the counter, I grab my backpack, and enter the garage. I grab my favorite skateboard, and head off to school.

"Skyler" my best friend Riley calls to me, from accross the school parking lot. I push off on my skateboard, and make my way towards her. "hey" she says, when I finally get to her. "sup" I reply smirking. "oh do you know where Mackenzie, Josh, Tess, Joey, Sam, Rocky, and Eathan are?" she asks me about our other good friends. "Nope, usually they get here before us" I reply. She nods her head, her loose, dark curls bobbing. Suddenly, we hear the familiar sound of seven skateboards entering the school parking lot. Sure enough it was our friends. They pull up beside us and Eathan says "starbucks anyone?" "Me!" Riley and I chorus. We basically attack Eathan, who has the drinks. "whoa okay! A java chip frapaccino for you, and a vanilla bean frappacino for you" he says handing me my Java Chip Frappaccino. I take it greedily, and take a large drink from it. "I have two questions for you Skylaer" Sam says, her big hazel eyes twinkling. "kay, shoot" I say. "One, when you get your license, will you drive us anywhere we wanna go?" she asks her first question. "Well that depends if I want to go or not" I answer smirking. "deal, and two, are we your homies" she asks laughing. "absolutely not! Don't you know I have another skateboarding gang I belong to?" I say teasingly. "We've been replaced!" Rocky says dramatically. We crack up at this. "I knew it! And it's all Tess's fault!" Joey claimed jokingly. Tess grabbed his snapback, put it on her head, and pushed Joey off his skateboard. "ouch!" Joey wailed ike a two year old. "Joey grow up and stop whining!" Mackenzie warned. "Babe, last I checked, I'm your boyfriend, and girlfriends are supposed to take care of their boyfriends when they get injured" he complains. "Maybe you should check more often" Mackenzie retaliated. "Oh man! Do you need some ice for that burn?" Josh asks laughing. Joey glared at him playfully, while Mackenzie helped him up off the ground. "Hey umm Riley don't we have that thing to do?" Sam asks Riley. "Oh ya the thing!" Riley remembers. "What thing?" Rocky asks. "ya what thing?" I ask. "You'll find out tomorrow!" Riley replies, getting onto her skateboard, and riding away with the gang. Well that was wierd.
