The non-believer

I can't like Blake! Ever since my family fell apart, I guess you could say I've been a non-believer. Never really believing in love. What if I grow to love Blake? I'd screw it up.

After Blake went home, I went upsatairs to contemplate my feelings. Two hours passed, and I'm still confused as ever. There's only one thing I can do. Keep my distance from Blake.

It's not that I want to, it's that I have to . Confirming my decision, I sit up, and slide off the side of the bed, and check my phone.

I had a text from Blake. Sighing, I unlock my phone and read his text. 'i had fun today. c u l8tr ;)' I have a feeling that ignoring him isn't going to be easy.

"Skyler? Skyler!" I snap out of my daze and face Riley. "What?" I snap, harsher than I meant to. Riley laughs at me.

"So where were you on Saturday? I went to your house but you weren't home."

Well it's now or never. "I was out with Blake" I say blatantly. Riley grins.

"I knew it! What's your couple name going to be? Slake? Or Byler? Ugh I can't decide! I'll go ask Tess" She decides before scampering off down the hallway.

I slam my locker door shut, and head towards homeroom. I guess today wasn't a good day for me, because here comes Blake strolling down the hallway , coming right towards me.

Desperate to get away, I duck into the girls bathroom. As if things weren't going great before, I slipped on a puddle of cleaning product, that the custodian left behind.

Flailing my arms, I land flat on my butt. Curse gravity! Groaning I pull myself up.

"Oh no, Skyler are you ok?" I hear a sickly sweet voice ask. Spinning around I see Kennedy, the school slut.

I smile sweetly at her. "Kennedy! I'm so glad to see you again!" I say in a perky, over dramatic voice.

"Too bad the feeling isn't mutual" She replies examining her nails.

"Right. Well you have fun doing whatever the heck you came here to do, and I'll be on my way." I state.

I begin to walk away, trying not to waddle, do to my now bruised tailbone. Dang it, it hurts!

"Skyler, are you okay?" Kennedy asks in a fake worried tone.

"Well I would be if you pulled up your shirt" I say referring to the fact her boobs are practically hanging out of the dangerously low neckline of her shirt.

"You little-" She was cut off by me, turning on the ridiculously loud hand dryers.

"You'll be hearing from my daddy" she huffs, before flipping her hair over her shoulder, and storming out.

I was sitting in History class, when I get called down to the principle's office. What'd I do now?

Entering the office I see Kennedy sitting in one of the waiting chairs, smirking.

Of coarse. Rolling my eyes, I plop down on a chair farthest from Kennedy. Unzipping my bag I pull out my dare from yesterday, that I have to complete today.

Glancing over the sticky note for the a millionth time, I wonder why they chose this as a dare. 'Go to Andrew North's party' I go to party's all the time.

Curious, I turned the sticky note over, and behold, a piece of information I was missing, is found. Scrawled on the back are the words 'and u must wear a dress'

Of coarse. Do I even have any dresses anymore? My thoughts were interrupted by the secretary telling us Principle Miller was ready to see us.

Standing up from the chair, I follow Kennedy into the cramped office. Taking a seat, I wait for the principle to begin.
