"well it could be worse" Riley reasoned. "Not really" I muttered to myself. "At least you got a brace and not a cast" Mckenzie pointed out. I flopped back on my bed in despair. I invited the girls over to hang out when I got back from the hospital. Currently we were talking about my sparained wrist, and they didn't seem to understand how bad it is. "I'm here" Tess said, slamming my bedroom door open, and walking in. "bout time" Sam huffed, as Tess flopped down on my bed. "so I heard it was Rocky's fault" Sam claimed. "It wasn't entirely my fault!" Rocky exclaimed. "Is this true skylar or is she lying again?" Sam asked smirking. Riley smacked Sam on the head with a pillow hissing "shut up Sam!" Ignoring Sam and Riley, "Nah it was nobody's fault, now lets forget about it" I say impatiently. Sam rolled her eyes, but didn't say a word. 'BEEP BEEP' Tess's phone went off. She studied her phone for a minute, before shoving it in her back pocket, lifting herself up from the floor. "Hey I gotta go home, I'll see you guys later" she said, leaving the room. "I should probably go too" Mckenzie suggested. "Same I'll text you later Skyler" Riley joined in. "Later" Rocky chimed in. "Well... I guess I'll just be on my way" Sam said quickly, and after that my room was empty. Weird.

"Rise and shine Syler" My dad said, walking into my room. "I don't wanna" I mumble into my pillow. "Up. Now." Dad said, throwing the blankets off of me. Cool air greets my warm skin, in a very unpleasant way."I'm up" I grumble. "What?" dad asks. "I SAID I'M UP!" I yell. Can ya hear me now old man? Shaking his head, he leaves me alone in my room, slamming the door behind him. Drama king. I take a long hot shower to wake myself up. Drying myself off with a fluffy towel, I dig through my closet, trying to find an outfit. I settle on a white T-shirt with the sleeves cut off and the word 'OBEY' written on it in big black letters. Next I grab a purple bandeau, and dark denim cutoffs. Next I straighten my long blonde hair, and do my makeup. Grabbing my purple vans, and backpack, I scurry down the stairs, being careful not to hit my wrist on the banister. Dad is nowhere to be seen, so I grab a granola bar, and exit the kitchen, making my way to the garage. Locating my favorite skateboard, I step on, and push off starting for school.

"Happy birthday!" Riley screamed when I pulled into the parking lot. Well thank you, your the first person to tell me that" I reply, smirking. "Happy birthday Skyler!" Mckenzie squealed, bounding up to us, dragging Joey behind her. Finally the rest of the gang showed up, all telling me happy birthday, and how I'm do lucky to get a drivers license. The rest of the day passed by uneventfully, just the gang acting suspicious around me. When school got out, I rushed to my locker, grabbed my things, and went to wait for the gang outside. Finally they all emerged out of the school together. Before I could speak Ethan cut me off. "So we have a birthday surprise for you, and if you accomplish it you get a reward" Ethan stated. "What's the reward?" I ask raising an eyebrow. "It's a secret!" Josh says in a 'duh' tone. Rolling me eyes, I question "Ok. What's the surprise?" "You'll do it?" Sam asks. "Sure" I say shrugging. "Promise?" Rocky asks to make sure. "Ya why not?" I ask shrugging. "Ok here's how it goes. Everyday we give you a dare. You have to do it that day, and since your turning sixteen, you get sixteen dares" Joey explains. "Let's do it!" I declare. "Ok here is your first dare" Tess says, handing me a sticky note. I read the dare scribbled on the sticky note. Oh no....

"Now don't worry it will only hurt a little" Mckenzie assured me. "Ate you kidding?! It's gonna hurt like there's no tomorrow!" Josh exclaims, throwing his hands up in the air for emphasis. I can't believe I'm doing this. Dad is gonna kill me. The door of the small room opens, and a large man walks in. Greasy hair, tattoos covering every open space of his body, piercings, you name it. "Well hello there pretty lady. What king of tattoo would you like?" The man asks in a gruff voice. "I'll take the one that says " 'wild child' in that fancy font or cursive of whatever that is" I state. "Where do you want it?" He asks wiggling his eyebrows. Uh no thank you buddy, gross. "On my wrist" I say smirking. His face falls a little, but prepared the needle for my tattoo. After about five minutes, he turns to me and asks me if I'm ready. "I was born ready" I claim coolly. I stuck out my good wrist, and he took it, wiping it off with a disinfectant wipe. He brought the needle up, until it was a centimeter above my wrist. I could feel the tension growing, as my friends got their phones and cameras ready. The man brought the needle down on my skin and began to draw on the design. It hurt so bad, it felt like fire coat song through my wrist! I was clenching the armrest of the seat, 100% sure my knuckles were as white as can be. I took deep breaths, squeezing my eyes shut. Suddenly I didn't feel the sharp, awful, pain anymore, and it was replaced by a dull ache. It was over! I scramble out of the chair, and take a look at my wrist. It was awesome! So worth it. "Good job, you didn't scream" Joey teased. Sam smacked him in the back of the head, and told him to shut up, and that I did great. Well hopefully, I won't get anymore painful dares, although this one was worth it.
