Chapter 2

I woke up to my alarm blaring loudly. I sighed and turned off my alarm using my powers because I was too tired to think about the consequences. Almost immediate there was a sharp pain in my head. I groaned and covered my head with my pillow. If I didn't mention it before every time I use my powers my head starts to hurt. It depends on how long I use it. Eventually, I got up and change into my school uniform, ate breakfast, and left the house in about 20 minutes.

On the way to school, I saw a boy with the school uniform on who looked lost. I walked right past him but once I got a few feet away he called to me. "Um excuse me! You with the Hope's Peak uniform!" The boy shouted. I looked around hoping he was talking about someone else but I was the only one wearing a uniform. I turned towards him and pointed to myself and mouthed the word "Me". "Yes, you! Do you think you could help me?" He asked walking closer to me so he wouldn't have to yell. Once he was in front of me I answered. "With what?" I asked. He scratched the back of his neck. "You see, I'm new to Hope's Peak and I can't really find it." He said. It was strange to find someone new going to my school. Mostly because it was almost the middle of the year but I don't judge. I thought for a moment. It wouldn't be any extra work. I'd just have to keep walking to school and he'd follow me. "I suppose I don't mind," I said. The boy smiled. "Thank you! Umm, lead the way!" The boy said. I just nodded and walked my normal route to school. The boy tried to make small talk but I answered all his questions in one or two words so he eventually gave up and stayed quiet. Once we got to school he thanked me and walked away. Most likely going to the office. I walked to my class and sat down listening to two girls talk about photographers while I looked out the window.

Our teacher, Ms.Yukizome, came in and told us all to be seated. "Okay class, we have a new student!" She said putting on her normal smile. She looked around the classroom. "Hmm maybe he's-" Ms.Yukizome was interrupted by the door opening loudly. The boy I helped earlier was there and out of breath. "I-I'm sorry I was late! I-I was doing things in t-the office and got l-lost." The boy said still out of breath. "It's okay, I was just talking about you actually. Class, this is Hajime Hinata. He'll be your new classmate." Ms.Yukizome said and motioned for the boy the introduce himself. The boy stood up straight and bowed. "It's nice to meet you." He said. "Hmmm, okay Hinata you can sit by Nanami," Ms.Yukizome said and pointed to a girl in the back of the class. The boy nodded and looked around till he realized there was only one open seat and sat in it. Ms.Yukizome started her lesson.

Once Ms.Yukizome finished the lunch bell rang and almost everyone was gone in a few seconds, I saw the boy walk to Ms.Yukizome and ask her something. She thought for a moment then called my name. I left my lunch on my desk and walked to her. "Yes, Ms.Yukizome?" I asked. "Would you please show Hinata around the school for the rest of the week?" Ms.Yukizome asked. I looked at him for a second making him flinch. "Of course," I said. "Thank you Komaeda!" Ms.Yukizome said smiling then walked away because a student called her. "Umm so do you want to start now or are you busy?" The boy Ms.Yukizome called Hinata said. I looked at my lunch and saw my bullies surrounding it and laughing. They most likely spit in it already. Guess I'm going hungry today as well. I looked back at Hinata. "I'm not busy. I can show you around right now." I said. The boy, Hinata,  smiled. As I was showing him around he tried to make small talk again and I decided I'd respond this time.

 Once lunch was half over I noticed Hinata hadn't eaten yet. "Um Hinata, have you eaten yet?" I asked. Hinata nervously scratched his neck. "I actually forgot to bring a lunch," Hinata said and chuckled nervously. I thought for a moment. My lunch was ruined but there was school lunch. I looked in my wallet. I had just enough money to buy a lunch but my they might be mad if I didn't have any money for them to take. (Which is why I usually only bring a small amount of money.) "I can buy you a lunch if you are hungry," I said. Well, too late to take it back now. "You don't have to! I'm sure I'll be fine." Hinata said. I can tell he was hungry. His stomach growled five times since we started. I turned around and walked towards the cafeteria. "Come on. The cafeteria is this way." I said. He just kept saying I didn't need to buy him a lunch but never stopped me. I just bought him a basic lunch, a turkey sandwich, juice, and an apple, and we sat in the cafeteria. "I'll pay you back I swear!" Hinata said. I shook my head. "You don't have to," I said. "Yeah, but I want to! I feel bad that you had to buy me lunch." Hinata said. "It's fine honestly," I said. He seemed to stop for a moment staring at me. "Hey Komaeda, have you eaten yet?" Hinata asked. I knew if I said no he would just share his food with me, he seemed nice enough to do that, so I lied to him. "Yes, I ate before Ms.Yukizome told me to help you." I lied. Hinata just nodded and continued eating his lunch. He finished right before the bell rang so we walked back to class. Hinata went to his seat. On my desk was my lunch filled with saliva and gum. I sighed and put the bowl back in my bag to clean it later. The bell rang again and Ms.Yukizome started her lesson.

Once the last bell rang everyone rushed out the door and Ms.Yukizome tried to get in a few last words that no one heard. I got up much slower than everyone else. I walked out of Ms.Yukizome's class and went to the back of the school and waited anxiously. After a few minutes, they appeared. "Aww look it waited for us!" The girl said. They started getting closer and closer until they were in front of me. I was surrounded by them. "Maybe he likes getting beat up." The other girl said. "Ew! Now he's more creepy than he uses to be." One of the boys said and kicked me hard in the shin. I dropped to the ground and held my shin. "See! He likes it!" The first girl said then tried to kick me in the same shin but instead kicked my hand. "Let's give it to him more!" The second girl said then they all preceded to kick me in different places. I tried to cover my head so I wouldn't get brain damage. This continued for what felt like hours until one of them stopped. "Guys let's go. Someone might get suspicious if we don't leave now." The second boy said. They all stopped. "Yeah, I guess you're right." The first boy said. I uncovered my head since I thought it was over. I was slightly facing them enough for them to see my face. "Bye! See you tomorrow." The first girl said then kicked me one more time in the face. The girl wore high heels so instead of a kick the girl used her heel and shoved it perfectly on the arch of my nose. I automatically held my nose. I was bleeding a lot. They all just started laughing and left. I took off my book bag with one hand holding my nose with the other. I looked in my bag for anything to stop the bleeding but I had nothing. I used my powers to help me stand up and put my bag back on my shoulder. Once I release it I did feel a pain in my head but it wasn't as bad as the pain I already felt in my head. I kept holding my nose and limped back home, the only thing keeping me upright was my powers.

Once I got home I went straight to the bathroom and grabbed a tissue and wiped my nose. My hand was covered in blood and it was dripping all over me. I got blood on my undershirt and tie. I washed my hand and put a tissue in my nose not wanting to hold it. I went to my room and sat at my desk. I dropped my bag and laid my head on my dresser. I was tired and stayed like that for a few minutes. When I was about to fall asleep an alarm went off on my phone. It was my homework alarm. I sighed and propped my head up with my hand. I was too tired to move too much so I opened my book bag with my powers and got my homework and a pencil and put them on my desk still using my powers. The pain in my head wasn't as bad as it usually would because it already hurts. I did half of my homework in school so it wasn't too much work. Once I was done I went to my kitchen. I honestly wasn't a good cook. The only thing I was good at cooking was plain rice, cup ramen, and sometimes curry if I tried hard enough. I decided to make rice since I could use the rest of it for lunch. Once I was done I sat at my table alone and silently ate half of my rice.

I went to my room and got a pair of pj's and went to my bathroom. When I looked in the mirror my nose was a dark purple most likely broken. I sighed. I couldn't go to the hospital now because it was too dark outside. I got in the shower which really hurt my nose. Once I was done I put on my pj's and put my hair in a messy ponytail. Then I went to my room, laid on my bed, and stared at the ceiling till fell asleep.
