You walk up to the doorway of 221 Baker Street and walk inside and see Watson and Mary at the stairway. "Good afternoon!" You greeted, brightly. "Afternoon, (y/n)." Watson said.

"What are you two doing?" You asked him.

"We just wanted to visit for five minutes then we are heading back home." Watson said.

"Oh, good." You said as the three of you walk up the stairs.

You open the door and Mary gasps as the three of you look up and see what appears to be Holmes hanging himself. "Don't worry, dear. Suicide isn't in his repertoire. He's far to fond of himself for that." Watson said as you walk up to Holmes and hit him in arm.

"Holmes!" You shouted and that startled him awake.

"Good afternoon." He said as he looks around and sees you, Watson and Mary. "I was trying to deduce the manner in which Blackwood survived his execution. Clearing your good name, Watson, as it were. But it had a surprising Soporific effect on me and I was carried off on the arms of Morpheus like a caterpillar in a cocoon." Holmes said, dramatically.

You shake your head as Watson said. "Get on with it, Holmes."

"Cleverly concealed in the hang-mans on it, was a hook....oh dear, I think my legs have fallen asleep I should probably come down." Holmes said.

"John, (y/n), shouldn't we help him down?" Mary asked you two.

"No, no, no, I'd hate to cut him off midstream. Carry on." He said as he looks up at Holmes.

"Well the executioner attached it to a harness. Thus lowering the weight contributed around then waist and neck to remain intact. Oh my Lord, I can't feel my cheeks. Might we continue this ground level?" Holmes asked.

"How did you manage it, Holmes?" You asked him.

"I managed it with braces, belts and a coat hook." Holmes said as he opens his jacket and reveals the brace around his chest. "Please, Watson and (y/n), my tongue is going and I'll be of no use to you at all." Holmes said. You shake your head as Watson pulls out his blade from his cane and said. "Worse things could happen."

 "John." Mary said.

Watson sighs then climbs on a chair and cuts Holmes down and he lands on his feet. "None of this, explains Blackwood's lack of pulse." You said as you, Watson and Mary sit by the fireplace.

"Right. Now the medical mystery. We must restore your reputation, Watson.  There is a toxin refined from the nectar of rhododendron ponticum. It's quite infamous in the region of Turkey,  bordering the Black Sea, for it's ablility to induce an apparently mortal paralysis. Enough to mislead a medical mind even as tenacious and well-trained as your own. It's know locally as...."

"What's wrong with Gladstone?" Mary asked as she looks at the unconscious dog.

"Mad honey's disease. He's demonstrating the very effects that I just described. He doesn't mind." Holmes said.

"Mary don't worry. He's seen far worse." You said to Mary as she looks over the dog and Holmes goes over to sit in his chair and pulls out his pipe.

"Mr Holmes?" You hear a voice say.

You look over at the door and see Constable Clark coming in.

"Doctor, Miss Mary, Miss (l/n)....Sorry. Inspector Lestrade asks you come with me right away." He said to Holmes.

"What is it this time, Clarky?" Holmes asked.

"It's one of our sergeants, sir. He went missing in the sewers the day you stopped Lord Blackwood. I'm afraid the sewage workers found his body just this morning, sir. We believe the sergeant was our first man on the scene. Shot in the head." He said.

"Was it a small calibre bullet?" Holmes asked.

"Yes." Clark replied.

"Was there powder burns on his eyebrows?" Holmes asked as he leans forward in his chair.

"Indeed, sir." Clark said.

"Point blank range." Watson said.

"Moriarty. Professor Moriarty." Holmes said as Gladstone wakes up and begins to bark.

"There's a good boy! Everything's gonna be fine." Mary said as she kneels down and pets the dog.

"Where is Blackwood's device now?" You asked Clark.

"Secret Service have it, ma'am. They've taken over the case." Clark said.

Holmes let's out a puff of smoke from his pipe and said. "I'd wager there's a piece missing." You and Watson get up from your seat and walk over to Holmes by the window.

"So Moriarty has a free piece of the machine. Not the poison." Watson said.

"There's nothing more elusive than an obvious fact. The wire free invention was the game all along." Holmes said.

"And my sister was just the diversion. He knew I'd chase after her and you would chase after me. There by leaving the machine accessible." You said.

"The technology of that kind can be worth an untold fortune. Imagine being able to control a radio device simply by sending a command via radio waves. It's the future, Watson and (y/n)." Holmes said as he looks out the window, intently.

Then another set of footsteps walk up to the doorway and you see a man walking in and said to Watson. "I've loaded the last of your boxes, sir." He said. You and the boys look at each other for a moment. "Well..." Watson said. "Well..." You and Holmes said in unison then Gladstone begins to run off.

"Gladstone!" Mary hollers after him.

"Stop him before he gets to the front door." Watson shouted and he and Mary run after the dog.

"Clarky? (Y/N)?" Holmes said. You and the Constable look over at Holmes, curiously. "Case reopened." He said as he puts on his bowler hat. He looks over at you and smiles then leans in and kissed you on the lips.

Once you two break the kiss the two of you get ready for your next adventure.
