End of Summer!

I woke up stretching my stiffened limbs. I looked at the calendar and it's the first day of school. I mentally facepalmed myself. I was not looking forward for Mr. Limpleton yelling at me this morning. The summer had been so great hanging out with my closest friends and partying. Now I have to go back  to that hell hole. I can't believe two months can just fly past that fast.

I got out of bed and walked to my bathroom. I stared at my rats-nest hair. I looked awful, I grabbed my brush and tugged at it until every knot was pulled and every strand was straight.

I brushed my teeth and took a quick bath. After I was done bathing, I grabbed a towel off the rack and dried my skin. I walked back into my room and got ready for school. I put my books in my bag and made my way downstairs where I caught my parents making out as usual. I like their relationship. It's strong and loving and filled with passion. I just wish they didn't have to show it in front of me and my baby sister Sammy.

"Hey mom and dad!" I shouted making them quickly pull apart. 

"Oh hello sweetheart, How did you sleep?" Mom blushed, straightening her top. I giggled.

"I slept well. I just don't want to go to school. I had such a good time over the summer! Can I stay home for the rest of my life? Pweeese!!" I battered my eyes, giving them the puppy dog look. 

"A- No! You are going to school!" Dad said sternly, I rolled my eyes. 

"Haha! Kelsey has to go to school and I stay home for an extra week!" Sammy teased. I glared at her. I loved her but she talks to much.

"Shut up and eat your cereal!" I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Don't speak to your sister like that Kelsey. She's just expressing her cuteness!" Mom smiled  leaning over the counter ,pinching her cheek.

"I'm leaving" I rolled my eyes. "Wait! Aren't you gonna eat something first?" Dad asked, taking a sip of his coffee. "I'll just stop by Starbucks to get a bite to  eat"  I said. "Okay sweetheart, have a nice day at school" Mom smiled. "I will mom. Bye Kiddo" I ruffled Sammy's hair and rushed out.

I settled in my car, adjusted my rear-view mirror and fixed my hair. I turned the key in the ignition and slowly backed out of my drive way and headed to Starbucks.

When I got there, I ordered a Soy Latte and a sandwich. This should hold me until lunch. While waiting on my order, I sat down to read my Biology text book. I liked Bio. It was interesting. Don't think of me as a nerd now. I just find science mind-bending.

"Kelsey James, your order's ready!!!" the lady at the counter yelled. I closed my book and placed it into my  bag then I walked up to the counter and took my order, giving the kind lady a warm smile then made my way to my car. 

I settled back into the vehicle and rested my Latte in the cup holder then drove off. I looked at the car's clock and it was 7:30 a.m. I have about half an hour left  until the bell goes. I'll probably just walk around and catch up with some people.

I pulled into the parking lot of my school, parked the car and got out with my Latte, sandwich and school bag in hand. I walked through the school door and headed to my locker. As I placed my bag into my tiny locker, I felt someone's arms snaked around my waist. I smiled knowing it's my adorable boyfriend and spun around.

I pecked his sweet lips and said "Good morning, Eli." I smiled. "Good morning, babe. How was your summer? Missed me?" He smirked. "A lot! I'm glad to see you. How was it spending time with the fam?" I asked

"It was okay but you weren't there so it sucked!" He chuckled, making me blush. 

"Ehhemm!" I heard someone cough interrupting me and Eli's cute moment. I looked who it was and it was my best friend Harry. 

"Hey Haz!" I let go of Eli and hugged Harry. 

"What's up Kel? Haven't seen you the whole summer? I missed you." he said, I smiled. 

"I missed you too! It sucked not having you here but how was it going back home to Cheshire?" I asked. "It was good. I saw a lot of friends and family I missed so much but I'm glad to be back." He smiled. "Good that's really great!" I said. I realized I forgot all about Eli. 

"Oh Eli! I'm sorry! I almost forgot you were there. I'll catch up with you later babe. I'm gonna go hang out with Harry for a bit. Are you  okay with that?" I asked, staring at him for a yes. 

"Sure babe. See you after school?" 

"Totally after school" I smiled kissing him and he walked off.

"So wanna go share with me what you did over the summer while I eat?" I asked holding up the Latte and sandwich in my hand smiling. 

"Sure. As long as you give some" He smiled cheekily. "Haven't changed a bit Styles, I see." I giggled.

"Not one bit." he said as we started walking, grabbing my Latte and taking a sip. I laughed. I missed this goof ball all summer!

I'm glad he's back....
