while not all books like this are horrible, many of them are plain and unoriginal and are just like the 254 others.
first of all, please don't make john physically abusive. someone pointed out to me that some people think that john was verbally and emotionally abusive to dean. i personally don't agree with that, but i do see where they are coming from.
while you may think john was abusive to dean, he was not physically abusive. he would not hit one specific child for no reason, especially if your oc is the youngest.
plus, sam and dean would definitely notice if their little sibling had unexplained bruises and cuts.
second of all, making your oc the youngest winchester doesn't really work considering the whole fiasco with the yellow eyed demon and sam.
adding an extra winchester into the mix will just be confusing and nothing will make sense.
instead of mary being the ocs mom, maybe your oc could have a different mother and could have been born after the fire.
or maybe your oc could be the oldest winchester instead.
third of all, don't make your oc have unexplained powers or abilities, it's very confusing and irritating when you don't elaborate on certain things like that.
