many of you like using really young faceclaims for the love interests of sam/dean/cas. you use people who are 20 or younger and it's disgusting.
i feel like anyone under the age of 25 is unacceptable (unless your fic is set in the first couple of seasons). misha is 42, jensen is 39, and jared is 34. dean, sam or cas would NEVER be attracted to anyone under the age of 18, and it's very unlikely that they'd be attracted to anyone in their early twenties (again, unless your oc meets them in the beggining).
i recommend using actresses/actors in their 30s.
moving on, we have the overused faceclaims such as nina dobrev, holland roden, crystal reed, shelley hennig, phoebe tonkin, amber heard, or some random emo chick the author got off of google images. if you were to go search supernatural right now in the wattpad search engine, i'm 99% positive that you'd see these lovely ladies on a cover.
there's soooo many actresses out there that you could use yet people keep reusing these certain ones (notice how none of them are poc).
with the exception of holland, these are all really amazing actresses with great personalities and i know it's not their fault that 11 year olds don't have the capability to search for a unique faceclaim, but i'm just tired of seeing their faces. i've come to dislike all of them (except shelley) because i literally see all of them all over wp.
i'm not saying you can't use them, hell, i'm planning to use shelley as a fc for a fic, but try and find someone else to use, someone underused and unique.
