(Allison's POV)

The morning went by quicker than usual. I ended up making the bell to my first period, Calculus. I saved myself a detention from Mr. Johnson, the hard ass teacher in his 30s. After math, I suffered through English and AP Chemistry, but it wasn't too bad. I get straight As, and paying attention in class was pretty easy. When it was finally lunch time, I was starved.

"Keeley!" I spotted my friend across the outdoor pinic tables. Keeley and I had been friends as long as I could remember. She had dark, perfectly wavy shoulder-length hair. Her eyes were light hazel-brown, with a lighter green ring on the inside. When she saw me, her face broke out in a smile.

"Hey girl! I brought your favorite!" She winked and handed me a plastic portable smoothie cup. I immediately knew what was inside. The cup was filled with an açaí smoothie with organic granola on top. I gave her a warm, best friend hug.

"You know me too well." I replied. We sat together at a table underneath the shade of a tree. As it was midday, the sun was searing hot. I can't complain though, I love the weather in California. I hadn't seen Keeley since Friday night, so I asked her, "What's up? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."

Keeley was a competivite surfer, and she was damn good. Last summer, in a huge tournament, she got to compete against Alana Blanchard. Alana was her idol, so this tournament practically completed her life. I swear she is going to go pro any day now. I would miss her like crazy, but surfing is her dream. Last weekend, she competed in Hawaii. She got second place, and I was so proud of her.

"Just hanging loose, you know?" Keeley replied. She stuck her tongue out and jokingly made the "west coast" gang sign with her hand. Her wrist was covered in bracelets. "I have a small one-day tournament this Saturday, just 45 minutes away." Her eyes light up suddenly. "Hey! Why don't you come along? I love having you on the beach!"

It sounded good to me. We talked details for a little bit, and soon, my friends Lilly and Aidan sat beside us at the table. Those two had only been dating for a few months, but they were the cutest couple I knew. I obnoxiously stuck my tongue out at them, surely making a super weird face. "Ewww, it's Lidan!" Keeley was the one who had come up with their couple name. We all laughed and they stuck their tongues out back at me.

Aidan leaned in closer, as if he had a secret. His eyes darted left to right, checking to see if anyone was passing by. He said, "Allison, I saw Cameron Dallas checking you out this morning in the hallway. How excited are you?" He pretended to be fishing with an imaginary fishing pole. "Pullin' in bait!"

I blushed and rolled my eyes. Keeley totally fan-girled and freaked out. "Cameron is here? Today?! Omigod how did I not know!"

I sighed. "Yeah, I missed the bus this morning. I had to longboard all the way to school, and I almost collided with him by accident. We walked together from there to the school entrance. He was sort of annoying."

Keeley and Lilly were shocked. They sat speechless for a second. Then Lilly screamed, "WHAT!?!" A few people from nearby tables turned to look at us. We looked back awkwardly until they turned away. Lilly continued, but in a loud whisper. "You met him? You walked with him?"

Still trying to grasp the fact I had met him, Keeley asked, "Omg, wait, can you introduce us?"

I groaned and replied, "Why? Why are you two so obsessed with this boy? What is so special about him?"

They shared a look with each other, like "what is she thinking". I swallowed the last of my açaí smoothie and continued. "I mean, sure, he's hot. But we live in California... on the beach... and hot guys are everywhere!" Aidan laughed at this. Lilly and Keeley shook their head, missing my point.

"I have to get to class. And you two--" I nodded at the two girls "--are freaks." I laughed, and began walking to American History.

(Cameron's POV)

I only knew a few people at Bridgewood. Luckily, though, I had one good friend, Chris, here. He was in a bunch of my classes. At lunch, we joined a volleyball game, where I met a bunch of cool guys. I made friends easily, I always have.

One guy, Brian, invited me and Chris to hang out this upcoming Saturday. "Hey, man! Why don't you chill with us this weekend? On Saturday, I'm driving up the coast to Coronada beach. There's a girl's surfing tournament AND a girl's volleyball tournament. My cousin is in the surfing tourney. Come up with me and Taj."

"Volleyball and surfing? Are you fucking kidding me, dude?" I laughed. "I'm there." This was one weekend I had no conventions or meetups to be. The next MAGCON was in LA in a month.

I liked hanging out with these guys because they didn't give a damn who I was. Chris didn't treat me any differently since I became vine-famous. He still gave me shit, though, for not hooking up with any girl at the Boston MAGCON. I just didn't want to take advantage of a fan like that.

The rest of the week flew by. More girls introduced themselves. Classes were fine. I made some vines, and I talked to my MAGCON friends some. Especially Nash and Taylor. They understood what it was like, all the fame and the girls. Before I knew it, it was Saturday. I was headed to the beach.
