(Allison's POV)
I will admit. I love to skateboard. I was speeding along the side of the road, trying to avoid cars by sticking close to the curb. The wind filled my ears when I sloped down a gentle hill. I threw my arms in the air and let out a tiny scream, "Wooo!" A few minutes past by of this reckless freedom. Soon, I sped past a Jeep full of boys, probably headed for the beach. They had surf boards sticking out in the back. I glanced back, and two of them were shirtless. They looked good, too.
"Damn, honey!" One of them yelled at me. I got some whistles and clapping from the backseat of the Jeep. I smiled sheepishly, and a little embarassed. I probably looked really stupid. Like those other Cali posers.
I sharply turned a corner and crossed onto the sidewalk. I was gaining too much speed, but I loved it. The feeling lifted my heart and cleared my head. I was absent from my mind, even just for a few seconds.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a boy on a skateboard came speeding towards me from the sidewalk to my left. We narrowly avoided each other. My board skidded, and my momentum pulled me to a running stop. I caught my breath and turned to confront the skateboarder.
(Cameron's POV)
I was happily cruising on my pennyboard, almost to school. I was lost in the carefree release of skateboarding. All of a sudden, a blonde girl on a longboard came speeding from the perpindicular street. I sharply pivoted to a stop to avoid crashing into her. The pennyboard screeched against the sidewalk concrete. I was thrown off my board and I stumbled onto the grass. "Ow," I muttered.
The girl had turned to face me, brushing her hands agaisnt each other. Her backpack had fallen to the ground, and her longboard skidded a few meters. I sat on the ground for a second. I was in awe, because this chick was super hot. She had a slim, deeply tanned body. Her hair was wavy, long, and shiny dirty blonde. Streaks of gold highlighted her curls. She had a glowy, natural face. I coudln't see any makeup besides some thin eyeliner tracing the top lid of her eyes. Wow. Her electric green eyes were wide with surprise.
"Hey!" She confronted me. "Who do you think you are?" She kicked hard on the back of her longboard, flipping it vertically into her grip. She walked toward me, and I pulled myself up from the grass. "You can't just ride around here running into innocent people. I'm already late for school. And, I could've hurt myself," she said, raising her voice.
Up close, I spotted freckles dancing on her nose. Damn, they were cute. I raised my eyebrows and crossed my arms. "Look, I'm not the one speeding down the sidewalk like a mad man."
Her nose wrinkled up in anger and frustation. "Yes you were! I am the victim here."
"Hey, nobody was hurt." I grabbed my board and slid in under my arm. When I was bent down, I caught sight of her shoes. "Whoaaa, sick Vans! Where the hell did you get those?" They were discontinued about a year ago, but I had always wanted a pair exactly like them.
She smiled, and her face brightened. Goddamn she was hot. "Sorry, can't say. Shopping secret. And my name is Allison," she grinned.
I smiled back at Allison. "I'm Cameron. Cameron Dallas." Oh shit. What that a mistake? What if she gets all crazy-fan on me? Well, if she was a fan, she probably would have recognized me by now.
Her face dropped and she muttered "oh". Was I dreaming, or did Allison look kind of... annoyed? She swung her back pack over her tan shoulder. "See ya, Cameron," she replied as she began walking away towards school. I wasn't used to that at all.
"Wait up!" I said as I began jogging to catch up. "You go to Bridgewood High too?
