Chapter 5
The minute we pull into the garage, I rush out if the car and into the house. I run up the stairs and slink into my room, closing the door behind me. I pull out my books and homework and start right away. I finish to the smell of friendship soup. That stuff is the bomb. My mom must half gotten the ingredients while me and Luke were at school. I come rushing down the stairs and almost falling at the end. Saving my self by grabbing the railing and accidently flipping over it and landing on my feet. Whoa, I acually jut did that. I walk calmly into the kitchen a serve myself a huge serving of the soup. I grab a piece of bread and start the art of stuffing the food into my mouth as fast as I possibly can. Add that to the lots I'm famous for. My mom comes and sits down and starts to slowly spooning the soup to her mouth. "I'm guessing your pretty darn hungry?" Again trying her philosophy I reply back to her "I don't know, am I? She starts to laugh and my brother laughs so hard and snorts water all over the place. Seeing this and the look on his face is too much for me. I'd already finished so I start laughing as hard as I can, almost throwing my plate into the sink and run up the stairs and lock my self into my room. Not a moment to soon. Luke comes and starts pounding on the food yelling "What the hell you little Bi-" and stops suddenly. Probably aware of my mom listing. He sulks off into his room, and slams the door. Teenage mood swings? Coincidence, I think not. After that little explosion of action, the sounds in our small house dies down. The silence is broken when my mom yells, "Goodnight!" Both Luke and I don't reply, but she knows we got the message. Lights out or your busted. I take off my shirt and slowly climb into bed. As I'm drifting off, Rose comes into my mind. Boy do u wish it hadn't.
