Chapter 7

The bell brought me back to reality. I fumbled with my stuff and took a while to get all ready. I then met Rose outside the door and we walked to the library. As we walk inside she exclaims quietly "whoa, his place is huge!" Nodding my head in agreement, we make our way to a separate table. I get us some math books and we get our homework out. "So what don't you get about it?" I ask. "The entire foiling idea." She says sounding a bit confused. So I show her how to set up the problems and how to solve them. It's only a matter of minutes before she gets he hang of its then she's off doing it herself. *shes a smart one* that voice inside my head goes. That voice is starting to annoy me so I go and do some research of my own. I look for a computer. Wandering around, I see one and head over to it. I search up all books that have anything to do with nightmares. This one comes up. "Nightmares, the only foe you cannot fight" by Barbra Watson. I go and see where that is. It takes me a while before I find it, but there it is. About 100 pages all about the thing that happened to me last night. I take it and bring it back to our table where Rose is reading. I plop down and start to read this book. It was the most boring thing EVER! At went on and on about the psychology of it all and blah blah blah. I slammed it shut. Oops I thought. Probably not the best idea. The librarian is now glaring at me. I check the time. It's about 3:50. I tap Rose's wrist. She jumps at my touch. "Sorry" I apologize. "But I have to go." "Oh, haha it's okay, thanks Josh." She smiled at me prettily. This time I don't think the voice in my head said that.

Chapter 8

It's been a couple of weeks since I first went to the library with Rose. It's become a thing now. Every Tuesday we go and work together. I help her in math, and she helps me in English. I really look forward to these and i get the feeling she does too. One day I thought it was ruined. We all have that one amazing guy at out school, that everybody loves. Well we have one. His name is Arnold Gunthy. He was that tan skin, short blonde hair in a small quiff with very green eyes. Well one Tuesday Rose and I were in the library and an unusually quiet hush goes around almost instantly. I groan on the inside. There is only one person who can do that to people, Arnold. He walks over to out table and gets a chair and turns it towards Rose. This really pisses me off rift here. He thinks he can go into anything and just be the best. Rose still manages to surprise me. She doesn't even look up, and in sure that se saw him walk in. So he does the rational that and clears his throat. "He Hem." She looks up from her book. Looks him over for a second or two and then looks back down and starts to read again. "He Hem" Arnold clears his throat again. He's pissed me off already, so I decide to make him look like an idiot. "Arnold, do you have a cold?" I ask innocently. "No" he replies in a hushed whisper. Nodding to myself I then shoot back, "Then why do you keep clearing your throat?" I ask again innocently. He turns around, and glares at me. Behind him I see Rose start to smile. Giving me hope I persist. "Are you sure? Because I swear you cleared it once or twice and usually you don't really do that unless you sick." I say intelligently. "Hey dreamer boy, shut up." He shoots back. Ignoring me, he turns to Rose and puts a invitation on her page. "I was wondering if you wanted to come to my party." He asked. Rose looks up and says, "Thanks, but is it okay if I bring a friend?" Arnold taking the bait says, "Sure, the more the merrier." Rose smiles and thanks him. Giving me one last smirk, he goes and walks out. I hear the normal whispers start up again. "Who the heck is he?" She asks. "Arnold." Is all I say. "He is supposed to legendary parties. Your very luck to get an invite. She nods and thinks for a second. "He's a jerk isn't he?" She guesses. I shrug, "to some yes, to others now." She ponders this for a moment and instantly perks up. "He said I could have a friend. If you want I'll bring you." She suggests. *She loves you ya ya ya* the voice now sounds like The Beetles. Ugh, probably not a good thing but I go along with it. "Sure, I would love to come!" I exclaim earning another glare from the librarian. "Good, she says. I wouldn't want to go alone. He gives me the creeps." I smile back at her, "he gives me the creeps too." I tell her I have to go and she walks out with me. "Josh, thanks again for doing this" and then she hugs me. I doing the bet thing to do in this situation stands there awkwardly until she draws back and dashes inside the library. On the way home I was humming, she loves you the entire way home.
