As the dragon took notice of Ullr, time seemed to slow to that of a snail's pace. Her ear's rang as it came at her with a roar. Eye's wide and frightened, her gaze met Cerise's briefly before locking back onto the threat in front of her. Blue met fiery yellow as the beast reared its head back, and in that millisecond its next moveds became apparent to the girl. Jaw clenched and eyes wide with terror, she scrambled back as quickly as she could before the attack. It just did miss. She'd felt the rush of air and heard the loud chomp of its teeth nearly taking a chunk of her face for an afternoon snack.

Their eyes were locked again, fear facing fury, but that soon changed as one yellow orb was replaced with blood and the feathered end of one of Cerise's arrows. Ullr would have taken the opportunity to back further away, but her legs seemed to have stopped working at the moment. They were weak with all her fright.

Thankfully, the rest of the Jarl's men took advantage of the dragon's weakness as the nord huntress took its other eye and blinded it completely. The red beast's belligerent cries for revenge fell on seemingly deaf ears as it was overwhelmed, and it soon fell to guards' amassed steel. The battle was over and won.

Spying her travel companion approaching, the orcish girl attempted to rise on her own and managed to climb to her knees at the least before being yanked from her position. She turned her head, refusing to meet the huntress' gaze for a number of reasons, the most current and prominent of which being some form of shame. She felt bitter at not knowing how to fight and for being useless in the face of true danger. Her chest felt tight at these feelings, and Ullr found her desiring strength or power of some sort.

Her thoughts were interrupted as she caught movement in the corner of her vision – well, movement of light. The dragon's body had begun to glow, and the cheers of the guardsmen and women died down with its arrival. The dragon hide had dissolved into rays of light and color, leaving behind the bones and swirling around Ullr – of all people! The halfling's body tingled and burned without pain in a way that amazed and frightened her.

After encircling her form, the beams converged to the center of her person, and the girl seemed to absorb them all in a moment. Confused and bewildered, but brimming with a strange new power, she looked to the jarl with searching eyes.

"What...just happened to me?"
