chapter 15 - sleep

Chris's pov.

While talking to my mother about what to do I felt Maggie's body relax and soon I heard her little cute snores.

"Chris, i'm begging you don't tell her about the mafia business, she is not ready, your father told me when I was with him for 3 days," My mother says in a serious tone. I told her that I wouldn't until a month has passed. I soon left.

I headed towards my office to work out some issues that I got last night. All I know is that people are going to die today and possibly tomorrow, depending if they have a lot of men.

I close the door behind me and walk towards my deck, using my leg I slide the leather chair over and plop myself in it, checking if Maggie was uncomfortable but to my surprise she just snuggled more. A small smile soon was on my face.

Taking one arm off of Maggie I reach towards my computer's mouse and moved it, the black screen turn on to a white background. I press the enter button and enter the username and password to log on. Going to my mail, messages, internet and information I had on theses people.

After a while I realized that these people love to steal things, kill snow girls and the best part ,note the sarcasm- is that they even want to take my baby girl and kill her. That's not going to happen buddy!

Soon I start to plan out the attack while holding my baby, my princess, in my arms.

2 hours later

I reach over a little to turn off my computer. Once I turned it off I slowly get up from the chair, careful so I don't wake up Maggie in my arms.

I was thinking that maybe today I should take her out shopping because she is running out of clothes but at the same time Maggie's in a lot of pain.

I sigh and walk out of the office with Maggie in my arms. I close the door behind me and walk to my bedroom which was on the 3rd floor. Once I reached upstairs I start walking towards the end of the hallway where my bedroom was. I open then close the door behind me and walk towards my walk in closet. For the meanwhile I took a shirt that was on the rack and placed it on Maggie's body, I set her down on the small couch I have in my closet and I quickly Change into my gray joggers without a shirt on.

I jog over to Maggie and carefully pick her up. I walk out of the walk in closet and towards my bed. Once near I set Maggie down on the bed and turn off her side of the light,  jogging over to my side and lay down. I scoop Maggie up in my arms and set my head on her shoulder, kissing it then closing my eyes, letting the darkness consume me.

When it was morning I woke up to find Maggie's face up close to mine, I smile at how cute she looks like when she sleeps. Using my thumb I put a strand of hair behind her ear.

I close my eyes again, enjoying this moment I have with my princess in my arms. After a few minutes I get up but before I actually got up I made sure to put my pillow on her arms, so she could be hugging it, thinking it's me.

When I get up I go towards my bathroom because I need a shower like every morning once I wake up. I open then close the bathroom door, not bothering to lock it because I don't care. I go over to my shower and turn on the water, while letting it sit I start to take my clothes off, my joggers and underwear to be exact.

I get in and start doing my thing, I shampoo and condition my hair like always and I get out. I wrap a towel around my waist and grab another to dry my hair, face, and chest. I go over to my sink, grab my toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it. I start to brush my teeth, after about 5 minutes or so I spit it out. I open the door and walk out of the restroom, once i'm out i'm happy to see Maggie sleeping peacefully on my bed, with my pillow. I walk towards my walk in closet and go over on what I should wear, after 7 minutes of thinking I start to dress up.

Once I was done dressing up I walk out to find my princess hugging the pillow, shoving her face in it. I walk over towards her, when I got there I bend down just a little, I reach out and grab Maggie and the pillow, once in my arms I go towards the door, opening then closing it. I then go down stairs to the second floor where my office is.

Once I was in my office I walk over to my couch and just sit down, adjusting Maggie a little. I pull out my phone and go to my contacts, scrolling down until I found my mom's contact. I press the call button and wait.

Alyssa: Hello?

Chris: Hey mom can you do me a favor?

Alyssa: Depends on what that favor is Chris.

Chris: I was wonder if you could bring 2 plates of food up to my office? Maggie is only wearing my shirt and I don't want anyone looking at her.

Alyssa: Ok fine, just for Maggie, a servant will come up and give it to you two.

Soon my mom hangs up. I put my phone back in my pocket. While waiting for the food to come I just look at my progress.

"I'm so lucky to have you Maggie,"
