Chapter 3: Girls Night Out

As Ginny heard the sound of her doorbell ringing, she made her way over to answer it.  "I've got it!"  She called towards Hermione who had been sitting on the couch and was ready to get up to answer the door for Ginny.  Once Ginny reaches for the door and opens it she smiles.  "Luna!"  She pulled Luna into a quick hug before stepping aside and allowing her to enter inside.  Luna smiled in return hugging her friend back.  "Ginny hey!"  She walked inside once Ginny had let go of her.  Turning slightly so she was glancing towards Hermione's direction.  "Hermione.. Hello!"  Hermione got up and walked over to meet Luna as well.  Hugging her friend.  "Luna, hey.  How are you?"  She asked.  "The better question is, how are you?"  Luna asked once again returning her friend's hug.

Hermione pulled back after a couple of seconds taking a deep breath.  "I guess I am doing alright.  But the better question yet is.  Who is this new person that Ginny told me about whom you met?"  Hermione smirked giving her friend a  playful nudge.  "I need details."  Luna laughed a little.  "I will tell you all about it.  As soon as I get this stuff put away."  She said pointing to her luggage.  "Oh..  Here..  I can get that for you."  Ginny said making her way over to take Luna's luggage.  "You don't have to I.."  But before Luna could finish, Ginny waved her off.  "Don't be silly.  It's no trouble at all."  Luna nodded watching as Ginny grabbed her luggage and brought it down the hallway to her room where she'd be staying.  She then followed Hermione back over to the couch sitting down next to her.

"It is good to see you again Luna."  Hermione smiled.  Luna smiled in return.  "It is good to see the two of you too.  I've just been super busy with my job as a Magiczoologist."  Hermione grinned.  "I've heard from Ginny that you get to go to all sorts of places.  I'm jealous.  Take me with next time."  Hermione teased.  Luna laughed a little.  "I do get to go to a lot of places and I love it."

"So..  What do you girls suggest we do?"  Ginny asked when she came back out.  "You're the one who lives here Ginny.  Where do you suggest?"  Luna said.  "Well..  There's a place we can go to just a couple of blocks away from here. If you wanted more sociable setting and just visiting to catch up while drinking, it is probably the best place.  Otherwise there's another place that usually has bands performing.  We could see what the entertainment is.."

Luna and Hermione stay silent for a moment.  "I'm fine either way.  Luna can choose."  Hermione responded.  Luna sighed a little.  "Hmm..  Well..  I am fine with the first choice."  She said feeling more comfortable with the laid back setting as she wasn't one for too much partying.  "Sounds like we are set then."  Ginny grinned grabbing a chair and sitting down.  "We can go for dinner before we go out to the pub."

Once the three girls were ready, Ginny lead them out to the car.  Receiving a surprised look from Hermione.  "You can drive?.."  Ginny laughed as she unlocked the car for them to get in.  "I have lived here long enough now Hermione.  I obviously wasn't going to use my broom to fly and get to places in the muggle world.  It would stir a catastrophe.."  Hermione grinned.  "I suppose you're right."  She said remembering their first year when Ron and Harry had flown Arthur's car but forgot to put the invisible cloaking on.

After the girls had finished dinner and made their way into the small pub, Hermione made a small glance around.  Noticing that Ginny had been right.  It wasn't as crowded as most club scenes.  Which she was fine with.  Because even though she allowed the other girls to choose where to go, she didn't exactly want to be around a lot of people.  But she also didn't want to put a damper on the other girl's evening.  "I'll go get the drinks."  Ginny said once they walked into the building.  Hermione made a small glance around pointing to an empty table.  "We can go sit over there."  Luna followed Hermione and the two girls sat down while they waited for Ginny to come back with their drinks.

"So..  Tell us about your mystery guy..."  Hermione asked to take her mind off things once Ginny returned with the drinks.  Luna let out a small laugh.  "You two girls just don't give up do you?"  Hermione shook her head taking a swallow of her drink.  "Nope..  Not at all."

Luna grinned a little shaking her head.  "Alright fine.  I'll tell you.  His name is Rolf Scamander..."  Luna said stalling her sentence to see what kind of reaction she'd get from the two girls.  She smirked a bit watching their expressions.  They seemed to be fairly in tuned to what she was saying.  "That's it?..  That's all the information you're going to give us?!"  Ginny said after Luna had stayed silent a moment longer for effect.  Luna laughed and was ready to continue on when an ad on the tv caught their attention.

"Oh my gosh Hermione that's it!"  Ginny exclaimed with an excited expression.  Hermione narrowed her eyes.  "Why do I have a feeling I'm not going to like whatever idea you just thought of?"  Hermione muttered.  "You should join as the bachelorette this season!"  Hermione sighed at the words.  Yup..  I was right.  A very bad idea.  Hermione thought.  Hermione let out a small groan.  "Oh come on!..  Just..  Hear me out first.  Plus..  I bet it would make Ron totally jealous."  "Ginny..  I.."  But this time she was interrupted by Luna.  "She's right Hermione.  You should go audition..."  She said deciding to give her input on the situation.  Hermione looked rather surprised.  She never would have expected that reaction coming from Luna.  She assumed..  Was hoping anyways..  Luna would be on her side.

Hermione made an oof sound as Ginny suddenly leaned in wrapping her arms around her friend for a hug.  "Oh come on pleeeaasssee?..."  Hermione gave Ginny a sideways glare.  "Hear me.... Ginny..  The answer..  Is no..."
