I wake up to the beeping sound of my alarm. The images on what happened last night comes rushing in and I can't help but to smile. I get dressed and rush to meet Ida at our original cafe spot. She already has our drinks ordered. I walk over to the counter and order two chocolate chip muffins. I spot, in the glass case where all of the sweet treats are, a purple macaroon that reminds me of Landon. As the lady hands me my muffin she gives me a weird grin. I head back towards our table and sit down.

"Well well, who made you smile this early in the morning?" a curious smile plays across her face. It's in that moment that I realize why the lady at the counter gave me a weird look. I take out my phone and click on Landon's text message. Rereading it still gives me the same effect it gave me when I first read it. I slide it towards her and let her read it.

"...best masterpiece of all.. You. WINKEY FACE??? Omg Val. Who is this guy?" she is freaking out, smiling like crazy. His message has just as much impact on her that it does with me.

"Okay.. yesterday I ran into this guy," I then go into detail about how I literally ran into him and then lost my keys but he had them. As I told her my story her eyes were wide with excitement. Taking in every piece of information I gave her. Not speaking too much but asking questions that she was dying to know.

"So yeah. That's how my day went yesterday," I exhaled, "But nothing is going to happen with him and I because I have to focus on my school work."

Her jaw drops almost to the floor when I say that. She shakes her head no about twenty times before she actually says something.

"No you are going to get to know this guy. No questions asked," She holds her head up high and then continues, "That is an order, not a question."

"You sound like my mother," I laugh and take a sip of my latte.

"I sound like someone who wants you to enjoy life in college,' She takes the last bite of her muffin finishing it off. She starts motioning her hands like she is wanting me to give her something.

"Phone," she mumbles through her full mouth. Not thinking any thing of it I hand my phone over. I hear the swoosh of a message going out.

"What are you doing?" I reach for my phone but she extends her arm back and looks at the phone again.

"I'm helping a girl out," she shrugs her shoulders up and then hands back my phone. I look down at the lit screen. The phone is on Landon and I's conversation and it shows that I sent a message to him.

You think so? Let's hang out soon (:

"IDA! What are you thinking!! I don't even know this guy! He could be a complete creep." I drop my phone onto the table and sit back in my chair. I close my eyes and start to rub my temples.

"I know you're kinda mad at me right now but we have a bigger problem.." her voice trails off. I open my eyes and see her looking at her watch. My stomach drops into my stomach. I check the time on my phone and see that we are late to class. We both stand up quickly, grab our trash and run out the door. I start dodging cars while attempting to cross the busy street. I can hear Ida yelling my name telling me to slow down.

My feet hit the sidewalk and I take off towards the door. I have never been late to a class before. Plus Mr. Juo is a hard ass on anyone who is late. He is always making people do ridiculous work. The other day when a girl walked in late he gave her a dunce cap and made her wear it for the rest of class. I felt bad for her. As I speed walk through a maze of students I start to silently pray I don't have to wear that cap in front of everyone. If I have to wear it I'll probably die of embarrassment. I peak over my shoulder and Ida is nowhere in sight. I don't bother waiting for her because I have a feeling if we walk in at the same time he will give us both an even harder time.
