WHAT I NEVER SAW
Sometimes I wonder
When people say
"I wasn't thinking when I said it"
Saying it out of impulse
Losing control over your actions
I wished a lot
I did this
Because my mind stays wired
I think everything through
Nothing leaves my mouth
Without calculation
It's like living my own nightmare
Being controlled
And it leaves me anxious
Watching my back every step of the way
Afraid I might be captured
And locked up in my own shadows
Screaming my heart out
Without being heard
Because I don't deserve it
Don't deserve to be heard
What do I have to say?
What do I have to speak
That deserves hearing
Am just a sole misfit of this world
Even misfits fearing my actions
Watching my every move
I might as well be a waste of space
A useless addition to the world
Deserving no place in it
So I waited
Running no more I stayed
Waiting to be captured
By my own shadows
It came
It captured
But it didn't lock me up
It showed me what I didn't see
The beautiful things of life
It showed me being a misfit doesn't matter
Because you are only a misfit
When you see the world differently
In your own bizarre way
It showed me what I never saw
And I was amazed
At how much you can see
If you wait
And look around.
