Over or Oblivious?
The car ride home consisted of sweaty palms, separate seats and spiteful eyes lunging on me every second. I wince at the idiotic spill of word vomit produced in front of Ian. The thing was a stunt. We both didn't know it. He thought I loved him, I thought he loved me. But did we love each other?
"Look Ian-" He shook his head in disgust, his piercing topaz eyes bursting and igniting against the pattering of humid rain drizzling outside the taxi.
I stumbled out into the warm sunshower collecting my bag and slinging the other across my shoulder. I swept my short locks behind my eyes and entered the fancy lobby. I stood awkward, my feet curved inwards unsure of sleeping arrangements or rooms for that matter. Ian muttered a few words to the employee and made his way past me to the elevator, swinging his head in my direction signing for my to come too.
We stood in the elevator as though it was nautical miles we were separated by but it was only a few inches. "Look Ian the relationship we had or thought we did was a lack of communication. Yours for publicity, mine to pay off debt for university. But if you listen, maybe it could work? I mean I never withdrew my actual feelings for you.." I stuttered before fiddling with my international sticker attached to my luggage.
"Maybe Mace. I told you it was a publicity stunt but I grew to love you, maybe you feel the same wa-" "I do." I said intensively staring at him in desperation of forgiveness.
"I forgive you if that's what you mean. I'd also be willing to try again, with actual purpose if you are."
"I am. That stunt was the worst mistake of my life." I sighed before pacing my way to a room Ian led me too. "The worst mistake of my life was loosing you."
I grinned mischievously as he turned to face me, his expressions obviously confused enough. "Oh no I know that face you have a terrible idea and I don't want to be a part of it." He put his hands in surrender and chuckles. That laugh I had been longing to hear rang through my ears making me widen my smile.
"Oh I think you do." I winked as he opened a hotel room. "Oh?" "Sleeping arrangements first." I insist dumping the bags in the living room and walking around in the spacious Hawaiian apartment. "I made sure there were two separate rooms, it's cool now continue." He said raising the mini fridge and handing me a coco cola and soaking into the leather couch.
I laughed and sat beside him. "Who was your publicist? Mine was Enco Entertainment Studios." He jaw dropped. I knew it. Perfect. "Mines En-" "Oh I know now let's cut to the chase. They didn't tell either of us that we both were faking. Maybe if we manipulate each of our managers into pretending that we aren't faking and love each other and plan to get married revenge will be detained."
"You love me right?" He asks and I nod slowly. "And I do too." I nod unsure of his thoughts.
"So your telling me you want to trick them into thinking that we aren't faking and love each other so much but in reality we already do?"
I nodded.
"I'm so glad I'm marrying a smart girl." He said before kissing my forehead and wrapping his arm around me, pulling me tighter to him.
"We love each other right?"
"Yes" he replied smiling down at me.
"So will you Ian Somerhalder be honoured to not only in reality be my actual boyfriend but according to our managers to be my husband?" I smirked.
"It's my honour to be your literal boyfriend yet fake husband."
We laughed endlessly that night.
