I woke up to a dazzling view of the ocean, well through a small window anyway. I remember it was fairly warm outside. When I heard a soft knock on my door that went da da du dum, I knew automatically who it was. That used to be mine and Kyle's secret knock when we lived in England. We left and when we heard the breakfast bell neither one of us left. We walked in silence until Kyle said "How did you sleep last night?" I was able to tell by the look on his face and the bags under his eyes that he didn't sleep well either. "What were your night-mares about?" I asked him. I waited for a reply then finally he said "I was on a life boat with your brother, Apollo. You and Father were nowhere to be seen. I could see the Titanic splitting in half. I cried out your name but you didn't answer. I wanted to find you, but I was holding Apollo and he was crying. I screamed your name over and over again," he paused briefly, I think to make sure I was still listening. "But you never answered." That had sent a deep chill down my spine. "Why me?" I asked him. "I guess because you and my father are the only people I actually cared about.

We hid in a closet filled with coats and I told Kyle about my dream. We had a long silence, then Kyle finally said "What do you think it means?" I didn't have an answer.

Later that day, Kyle showed me how to get around to the bottom of the ship without anyone catching us. It was fun, until I looked at Kyle. He was staring at me, and his eyes looked red as if he had been crying. I had never seen Kyle cry before, not even when his arm broke when we were 8. "Kyle what's wrong?" I asked with a little bit of concern in my voice. I lifted my hand to try to wipe the tears off. Kyle quickly pushed my hand down, it was surprisingly soft for someone who worked with wood all day, and I either imagined it or he held my hand for just a second. He quickly walked away and looked back only once to make sure I was following. As I was walking, I heard something behind me. Since it was just me and Kyle I could have been easy pray for almost anything. I quickly turned around to find a large, muscular, tall man. Quitely watching me. I started to run, but he was faster too. The man grabbed me!

My mind went racing. The first thing I did was yell "Kyle run!" This sent him running allright, but not in the direction I was hoping for. He came running towards me! "No! Kyle run away!" I told him again. It was to late. Kyle tackled the man. The man let go of me to deal with Kyle. That's what Kyle was hoping for. "Run Bonnie! Go!" I couldn't leave though, not if Kyle was going to get hurt or worse. I frantically looked around trying to find something, anything! I found exactly what I needed. A long pole not completely sucure to the wall. One good yank on it was all I needed. It came off without damaging the wall to badly. My adrenaline was very high now, I lifted up the pole and hit him with it. He fell to the ground in a lump. Kyle checked to make sure he had a pulse. He did so we tied him to another pole on the wall. We ran, faster than I had ever ran before. We ran to the captain's room and banged on the door. He answered mumbling something about his head. Kyle quickly explained what happened as I sat down, to scared to relax. For the first time, I actually got a good look at Kyle. He was bloody and bruised with I think a black eye starting to swell. He never s reamed out in pain though. That is what made me cry, not being nearly kidnapped or knocking a guy out. The fact that my best friend went through so much pain for me. The captain sat down beside me. He patted my hand and told me something I would never forget. "Don't worry young miss. You will never see that man again. There are far more rooms on this ship than you think, and some have far worst things in them than coats. This man will never see the light of day again."
