The next day I spent most of my time AWAY from Kyle. It was akward without him, but right then it was more awkward with him. I racked my brain to try to think of anything that would have suggested who that mystery boy was. I found nothing, because most of my memories involved Kyle and I didn't want to think that he could be the boy. I nearly drove myself insane. Then something came to me.

It was not long ago at the time. Some boys were teasing me because of my glasses (I didn't have to wear them all the time). "Go away!" I would yell at them. They were not going to leave though. That's when Kyle came. He was just walking by, probably to pick something up for his Father. Kyle heard me yelling and came running over. "What are you doing!?!" he asked the boys, I could tell he was mad. "I'd say we are flirting." the tall one, James Grint, said with a smirk. Kyle just glared at him. "Well, if she wants you to leave her alone then I'd suggest you do just that," he turned to me "Come on Bonnie."

"Fine O'Dare, we wouldn't be caught dead with a four eyes anyway!"

"How dare you! You little weasel! She is to good for someone like you anyway!"

"Be quiet O'Dare! If she's to good for me, then you definately to good for a boy like you!" Kyle was furious now. "Be quiet!" he screamed. Then he turned to me deathly pale. "Bonnie, if you were to choose one of us then who would it be?" he asked gentely. "I'd choose you of course Kyle." I replied a little confused on why he would ask me a question like that anyway, but answering truthfully. He automatically looked better, giddy even, and turned to James. "See, now leave her alone." Kyel said. James just shot him a dirty look and said "Fine. Who would want to go on a courtship with that ugly four eye!" I tensed up and I could see Kyle did to. It looked like who was doing all he could not to hit James. "How dare you! Bonnie is... She's... Fine! So I will say it one more time. LEAVE HER ALONE!" he yelled. I honestly thought it was all very strange, but none the less I was extremely thankful for Kyle. What would I do without Kyle? That's what I was thinking about back then. When here, on the Titanic, I was thinking what Kyle thought of me.
