Leaving school, is kind of a relief, not that I dislike school, more like running away of the threat. I would like a friend or two to hangout with, but due to my phobia of certain people, it's a challenge. It must be great to be beautiful.

Right now I'm heading home. I live quite far from the academy, but I always try to go. I won't transfer to another school just because the academy is one of the top schools out there and I just so happened to be able to get in, but in a mid-semester, so that's why I was getting picked on in the first place.

"I'm home, Granny." I called and ran to the shrine. "I'm home, Mom and Dad." and prayed about my day. "Today was okay. I bet I could have tried harder to meet others. Also I heard these girl talking about me and it wasn't all that bad. They said they wanted to talk to me someday. I really hope we can be friends. Oh and I also found this really cool fantasy book called the 'Tales of Wisteria'. It seems to be very interesting with all the heroes and magical items. That's all I have to say for now. See you tomorrow."

"Welcome back, Atsuko." Granny said. " I have some apples on the table if you're hungry."she shouted from the kitchen.

I ran from the living room to the kitchen with the book and started munching on the apples. "Thank you, Granny." I said while petting Clara, our cat.

"Your welcome." she relied. "Oh! Another book? What is it called?"

" 'The Tales of Wisteria'. And based off what I've read so far, there are these quests that different heroes are offered by a group of mysterious people.

"Well dear, there are lots of authors who wrote in that book. Not just a person alone can finish writing that book."

"What do you mean, Granny?"

"Well Atsuko. I'm saying lots of other people have wrote their stories in there and some of it might be true."

"Wait, really?"

"Yes."

I started looking through the book to realize there are empty pages.

"Wait. Then that means I could write some stories too... But I couldn't just write in it." I thought.

"Thank you so much, Granny." I went in to hug her and went to do homework.

I started reading after finishing my work to smell something good in the air and went downstairs to find Granny cooking.

"Oh, Granny. Let me help you. You don't have to do the cooking alone." I went in and helped her.

"Oh thank you, Atsuko." she smiled and we cooked.

When we started eating, Granny asked "You know that book you brought back?"

"Yes. What is it,Granny?" I questioned.

"It reminds me," then she paused. "That book you brought back, reminds me of my youthful days."

"Oh?" I wondered.

"When I was about your age, I found the exact same book you had. It had many stories of other people too. I opened the book the appear on a whole new world. My Mother and Father were barely home, so I went often. Always going in and out of there."

"Wait. So you read this book too?"

"Yes I did. Didn't I mention that earlier?"

"Oh, sorry. I'll help clean up."

I went up to collect and wash the dirty dishes and went to bed.

"I wish I could be like those people in the stories. All heroic and kind. Someone to rely on and protect others." I whispered and went to sleep with Clara, my cat, in my arms
