"Kay, byyyeee!!! Love you!!!" Masaomi waved, giggling like a dork.

"Masaomi, have a little decency! You can't embarrass a girl like that!" Mikado said quickly in an attempt to quiet his casanova of a friend.

"Oh hush, Mikado. I can talk to her like that if I want. After all, she isss my Juliet!"

School had just ended and you were walking out of the building with your besties. The many footsteps and chatter of teenagers eager to get home rang throughout the campus.

"Ahaha, Yeah sure. Bye guys." You laughed, turning and leaving the two behind you. A smile curled your lips as you walked along the sidewalk, your keys jingling quietly from your belt loop.

Didn't wanna forget those again.

Though, your smile quickly faded to a serious expression once you knew you were far enough from Masaomi and Mikado.

I am not throwing away my shot..I am going to use this as a chance to find Izaya's weaknesses..

You smirked, your eyes narrowing slightly.

And I'm going to tell Shizuo everything..

"Behind you~"

You jolted as your thoughts were interrupted and turned, your eyes meeting with Izaya's. He stood tall, hands in his pockets and his usual grin plastered across his face. "Izaya.." You whispered. You quickly crossed your arms and glared at him, feeling annoyed by his mere presence.

"I knew you would listen. An obedient girl in a degrading world. What else would you do but to act as you're told~?"

"Shut it, Orihara. I'm here on my own account, thank you. Now, I'm not wasting any time chatting. Do what you came here for and be on your way." You growled, causing him to snicker.

"But that's just it! I came here to chat. Though...It would be best if we went somewhere else~" He stepped closer. "There's a cafe I know around here and I'd like you to go with me. It's a more comfortable setting than the streets of Ikebukuro, don't you agree~?" You stared at him for a moment, eyeing the raven up and down in silence, before finally answering.

"Tch, fine. We'll go there. But I expect nothing but talking." You turned and began to walk away.

"Other way, (Y/n)." He held in a chuckle. You quickly turned back and started speed walking the right direction, shoving Izaya as you passed him, which of course only made him laugh.

"I knew that! You were the one walking the wrong way!" You argued, face red in embarrassment and anger.

"Heh, yeah. I'm wrong.." Izaya rolled his eyes and walked beside you.

The two of you made your way to the cafe in silence, walking in and sitting down across from each other at a booth once you arrived. You rested your head on the table, hoping he wouldn't speak at all. But of course, he broke your silence.

"Alright, (L/n). I'm going to talk to you and you are going to listen." He stated, sounding serious. "We both know who I am, so you should know that I am a rather hard working man. Unfortunately, my last assistant decided she'd leave and do what she wanted." He growled quietly. "What a moron." The info broker whispered, looking annoyed. "Anyway, you could imagine it's rather boring in the apartment now..not having anyone to talk to.." A grin crept onto his face as he glanced over at you. "And I've been keeping a close eye on you for a while now. Someone like you, a person who despises my entire being and can keep a secret, would be perfect to talk to~"

"What are you trying to say?" You asked, looking up at him with a somewhat suspicious look. It's obvious what he wanted, but you just needed to hear him say it himself.

"I'd like you to come work for me, (Y/n)-chan~"
